SPOILER ALERT:

the connection between the other world(xen) and earth was still open though it was closed on this side.

so gordon went through the protal to close it from the other side(kill nihilanth)

after this gman took control over xen,(gordon became employee of gman) but the universal alliance used xen as a relay to send troops to earth (8 hour war). gman then sends gordon back into timeline to fuck the combine and defeat the UI. after a some story hl:ep2 ends, and we all wait

Is it me, or is it that in half life and EVERY expansion, you end up fighting in Xen. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's cool, but the plot ends up having to fight some sort of giant alien boss, then usually meeting G-man. I bet they VALVe could have put a little more "something" to it. But still a good game, none the less.

Man, I love when you see "yourself" getting into the portal. The first I getted into the portal (as Adrian) with Gordon, but I fell down and die in Xen.

Now, when I play Half Life in that part, when the portal opens I run to the portal looking behinde me :D
