@robchopper87....Bluegrass music. Check out Bill Monroe and His Blue Grass Boys, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, New Grass Revival, Yonder Mountain String Band, and anything by Bela Fleck for banjo playing in particular. There are tons of bluegrass bands in the USA. Impossible to name them all.

Positvely makes my "melodic" version look... uh... sedate. I trying to figure out how you get that much sound from your fingers (don't see any picks on 'em) and that 'jo.... out in the backwoods! Sounds like fairly high qulity audio... must be a darn good vid cam:) Anyway... love your energy and untraditional redition... of a traditional tune. You rock!

@satv365 It's all about having fun. Learn to play something easy first, enjoy yourself, and you'll be making progress without even realizing.

By playing some simple arrangements you'll be honing your skills at playing the rolls and taglicks and if you're good at playing the simple stuff you'll find the transition to playing advanced songs to be much smoother.

Must admit, though, as a banjo player I'm having a bit of a rough time with the guitar myself :P
