The reason why the muffler is made out of carbon fiber is because its light weight and lasts long. The sound of the muffler also changes too, the muffler doesn't have a fart can sound because it is solid and doesn't rattle. Thoughts are the reasons for using carbon fiber :)

it's pretty much because on the heat and speed that "shape's" the sound that come out the can turbo car tend to sound much quilter than NA cars, well unless you run a open dump :-) which really crazy for the week or so (very annoying on a daily driver)

if the system is cat-back then ye it SHOULD that doesnt mean it WILL, also a high flow cat makes these chances even higher that you cant pass it. With an exhaust an intake upgrade and general tune up will make your exhaust operate at its maximum efficiency because the exhaust lets the engine breathe better and with an intake upgrade and tune up you will increase the power output of your engine without losing reliability by just making it work better.
