  • brill film a classic

  • Beautiful movie, I love anything with Maureen O'hara!

  • The narrator sounds more irish than welsh but who knew in those days..lol

  • What a stunningly beautiful piece of music.....wow...

  • Great singing, but I can't visualise Welsh coal miners skipping around like that. Especially in those days.

  • What a lovely, lovely song.

  • roddy mcdowall is such a little weiney lol

  • roddy is so cute

what is the song the coal miners are singing a they walk home in the opening after payday- it was played at william and kate's wedding!

  • @melanieeng - Cwm Rhondda is one of "classics" of the Welsh hymn tradition. The tune is by John Hughes, Dowlais (1873 - 1932). The words are by Wales' most prolific hymn writers, William Williams Pantycelyn (1717 - 1791).

  • @hari1408 men of harlech is what they are singing

  • @melanieeng the song is called bread of heavan, its a very nice piece of music in english and welsh. but we prefere the welsh version in wales.

  • Oh my God, I can't believe that you downloaded this, but MAN am I glad you did...I absolutely love John Ford movies...goody for me, you have made my day. Thanks so much. Lady L.

  • This is the best Musical even today if you have the experience singing in a choir.
