I think India is one of the most cultured and tolerant countries in the world. Christmas and Good Friday are national holidays in a country which has about 2-3 % Christian population which speaks volumes about the tolerance and acceptance of the country. I think its just the difference in culture and lifestyle that causes the problems. I agree it can be intimidating for a white woman in India but making comments about the country in general reinstates western stereotypes about india.

i think the comment about what happens in goa or india is by people who are really bigeted and small minded. Yes i agree that some tourist have been raped but not fair to say all white woman have been raped or were almost raped. Had that been the case the tourist from western world woud have stopped coming there ages ago. The problem is Indian men are not used to dressing style in the west and also the society in general is a lil conservative thats why u find men looking with weird gestures

I'm so happy being a white western woman I was so fortunately not raped or molested while i was there! How lucky I must have been. And what an AMAZING time I had there. I highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of going. Apart from ignorant people who really should be on this planet at all.

all of my friends who are whites and females that have been there have had atleast a rape attempt against them in goa.
