hey drummerdude...the only reason u think ferko beat southphilly is cus ur in ferko....maybe the fact that ur arrangement didnt make sense, ur costumes(although beautiful alone) looked like a big jumble *$%^ when together, or that ur horns arent tight....and rymum...i think you should pile up a few more years of experience before you can say anything about another band....dont let poppy bowen hear what your saying b/c you know you want to be a front line player when i'm captain next year FSB!!

i only liked their show because it had parts of my field show in it at 4:18 it starts with "FANTASMIC"....for those who hav never hurd of it........if you hav ever gone to disney and seen their light show thats what its from....so thats the only reason that i liked them....im a freko phan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was THE best band on Broad St. They may not have finished first, but they were first in the hearts of the people who froze on Broad St. to cheer them on. & the ONLY band to feed the crowd their music as a thank you for the longest time! They played at my daughter's wedding in December and they were awesome. others who have seen Ferko and QC at other events said South Philly blew them out of the water. They will always be #1, they have heart & pride & are mummers in their soul!

South Philly reminds me of Fralinger through the late eighties and early nineties. Always one small element away from winning. I truly feel that when they get it all to click they will run several wins in succesion.

there music is very off key, they didnt start getting in the top 5 until their fancy costumes, huge props, and tarps came in. there performances are like broadway musicals they should join the fancy brigades

Well as a far as I am concerned this was the First Place band this year! I am a big Fralinger fan, but I truly think this was the best presentation of 2009.

The opening was fantastic and the music and drill worked great together!

I understand what you are trying to say,that S.Philly ripped off Fralinger. But let's be honest everybody borrows from everybody else every year. Obviously Fralinger has been setting and then raising the bar every year, but nobody and I mean nobody is coming up new and original themes anymore. It's hard not to be successful when you are recreating an old theme and making adjustments.

I posted a congraulatory response on the Fralinger video and I stick by my statement! Change is coming!
