That is very cool! I hope a suitable boiler can be found in the near future, but in the meantime, couldn't it be run off of a locomotive as a temporary measure?
Not recommended, at least until part of the line shaft system is resored and connected to "load" the engine. Running on steam without a load could damage the engine. With compressed air, it doesn't develop anywhere near its full horsepower, desirable since it's only driving the flywheel.
I totally agree. I was mistakenly under the impression that it was currently possible to put a load on it.
