  • I love Higgins Lake, my grandpa used to have a cabin up there until he sold it last year.

I loved going up there every summer, it was great.

Too bad he couldn't have sold it like 3 years from now, so I could go fishing in my uncles boat next year! lol

  • Higgins Lake is claimed to be the 6th most beautiful lake in the world. I love this video, looks like a fun filled adventure! Thank you for posting it!

  • This is the best lake ever!!! Only I get so scared of the black water and my father always is teasing me about the muskies!

    GO COTTAGE GROVE!!!

  • same here!

  • Are there even Muskie in higgins?

I know theres Pike, and big Trout.

  • are there any trout in houghton lake? i really need to know.

  • I don't think so. I'm pretty sure their isn't but then again I could be wrong. I think all the Lakers are in Higgins.

  • not lake trout, just trout of any kind.

  • I just remembered theres a river between the 2 so its possible. Whatever is in Higgins could be in Houghton. But like I said I don't know. Could be.

  • No trout in Houghton Lake to shallow Houghtons Avg. depth is only 8 ft. Higgins is a completly different fishing habitat cleaner water much deeper the river that connects the two is the cut river. Even though the big lakers spawn in this river they go back to Higgins. From Houghton the Walleye use the cut to spawn also,

  • i go there every summer

  • I do too!

  • im here right now!
