  • Superb and natural these guys used Mind and Body , nothing Fake or

    chemical.

  • 2:15...do I spy James Bond himself, SEAN CONNERY???!!! Ha!

  • @boinnng fact is, he was Mr.Universe at the time :)

  • Hi great video, very inspiring. was wondering if you could add names to it? Would love to know who's who. I think they've earned it. Thanks so much!

  • This is how bodybuilding is supposed to be, aesthetics first, size later. Not size at all cost like the huge guts we see today

  • its funny these guys have less muscle mass than most pro bodybuilders of 60s 70s 80s and certainly 90s and 2000s but they still manage to look far more epic looking with what they got

  • What is the song btw? I recon Era but i got no clue :)

  • @mmmeijer01 Enae Volare Mezzo

  • @Fjuka Hey thanks a lot ,keep it up!

  • Just a great video ,good music and atmosphere .Lovin it!

  • @mmmeijer01 Thanks man.

  • @Fjuka Good vid man, but I was wondering who the guy posted after Steeve Reeves is, never seen him before but he looks epic.

  • @karyon123 His name is Scott Cooper. He became Mr. Florida in 1967.

  • everybody thinks that juicing started with arnold's era. steroids have been around much longer than that and most of the guys in this video used them. just because you dont look like ronnie coleman or jay cutler doesnt mean youre not on steroids

  • sean connery @ 2:10!

  • Iron, sweat and right food - thats real bodybuilding.

  • Too bad we don't have the names of all these guys. Eifferman looked so cute as a teen. I think the man at 1:54 is Leo Roberts?

  • whos that at 00:21?

  • Is that sir Sean Connery at 2.17min? Sure looks so!

  • The guy at 2.08 is Sean Connery........

  • this also was the last moments when physique shows were held in conjunction with lifting meets, so you could see their athleticism, not just their look

  • You can see clearly, that they had problems with calves aswell :P

  • please who is the first bodybuilder?

  • vince gironda and steve reeves are gods

  • These are true bodybuilders. Back then it was about health and fitness, not about monstrous size and asymmetry. Bodybuilding today is a joke.

  • Do you call these guys body-builders ? hehehe

  • John Grimek has unbeliavable shoulders

    for that time!

  • Comment removed

  • Another bodybuilder just like Classic bodybuilders is Frank zane from 60 -80's

  • A great collection of GREAT bodies

  • With all the information available like internet 90% of gym ppl can't achieve a body like those in this video 60 years ago without almost no science background!

  • John Grimek is the only guy I've ever seen with the innate grace to make that sword pose work. Here it looks great, but there are dozens of other examples where it just looks awful.

  • Which song is that?

  • Wish you had names. I did recognize Sean Connery though.

  • who is the man with the sword ?? he looks great !!

  • This is true bodybuilding... looking for the perfect proportions... not like our days, unfortunatly :( ... nowadays, they are too big and when i see the evolution of this sport on 50 or 60 years, i think what is this sport will be in 30 or 40 years? and later still?

    ===> funking freaks...

this guys were amazing !! it's all my inspiraton...

  • 1:58 Really nice pic. Who is that?

  • Good video man, 5/5

  • I need Your heeelp!

Pls go to my channell and see the model on my BG. Do U know his name and location? Who is he? Pls leave a comment if U recognize hiim!

  • Who is the guy at :25? His lats are nasty ripped? And who is the musical artist?

  • sean connery looks nasty as a bb.

  • Sean Connery @ 2:16

  • very rare to see sean connery when he was bodybuilder at 2;12, yes he began as a bodybuilder

  • black and white pictures r effectively better than nowadays.

  • no arnold?

  • These guys are a another era than Arnold...This was the killing days of bodybuilding, when the juice came in. I have no problems with that but i'm still saying it.

This was a period between the 50s and middle 60s. Arnold came in the show 69 - 70s...

Don't say that stupid comment again btw.

  • So your saying, these men are juice free?if so then insane respect, much harder without it to achieve such body

  • @Fjuka Juice was introduced way before the 50s man

  • @Fjuka fuck you

  • @tamimazimi To afghani hasta? Damet garm dadash...

  • @Fjuka fuck you

  • they are great

  • Has anyone posted the track name:)?

  • @Felipecabesas Yeah it's Fedor Emelianenko's entrance theme lol

  • Ever heard of iPhone sound analyzer?

  • Todays bodybuilders are just oversized juice freaks who like Steve Reeves said have missed the whole point of body building.

  • this guys didin`t used roids, HGH, insuline and the hell. That's the difference....

  • Without these guys, the men you named wouldn't have even known what bodybuilding was.

  • 2:11 SEAN CONNERY no joke

  • Whats the title of this song, does anyone know ????

  • Damn, can't beat the dudes in posing straps! Woof!

  • Anyone notice the guy at 2:10-to-2:19..... it is none other than Sean Connery, I''ve seen him in only 2 other photos talking about the early days of bodybuilding, anyway, these bodybuilders are a true testimony to the days before chemical abuse, not only that but they used the most basic of equipment such as simple cable pulleys, basic wood benches, dumbbells, barbells, ect. Clancy Ross was always my favorite, at 5'10" and 220 he was exceptionally strong even by todays standards, impressive

  • Let's pay hommage to art of bodybuilding.

It must be done with grace and style.

But note, fitting into a small Honda could be difficult.

  • what is the name of this song please

  • 3:21 IT"S BRUNO

  • wats this track called?

  • Fedor's theme

  • mad respect too, this where the real bodybuilders. I'm an amiture bodybuilder and this is an inspiration.

  • alex is right...

  • is that sean connery at 2:13? :D

  • That's correct! I have a history of bodybuilding book & there's another pic' of him in there...

  • he's a former mr. universe

  • 3:03 Looks cool

  • this is what i respect very little if any supplemetns and drugs were used. just think. without all of these drugs and what not jay cutler and flexwheeler and them would look nothing better than these guys. The only thing that separates todays bodybuilders from yesterdays is the amount of drugs they effortlessly pop into their mouth or have their moms shoot into their asses this is why bodybuilding is a laughing matter now Its a big fucking joke, you dont see it on tv because no one wants to see it

  • Sadly, this is so damn true.

  • @alexisbrooke08 That's why bodybuilding should be a lifestyle, not a competitive sport, because there is nothing to compete with. We can all achieve peak fitness level by hard work, limited only by the nature. Some get more buff, some less, over that limit comes chemistry.

  • 1:47 what a pose wonderfull

  • The guy at 2 min 11 sec's is Sean Connery also known as James Bond 007. He competed as a bodybuilder for a short time.

  • Wise choice to follow an acting path. LOL

  • IMO, Eugene Sandow had better physiques then all of these guys and he was in his prime in the 1890s so we know he defitnately never took steroids. Alot of these guys look to smooth and not ripped apart from maybe Steve Reeves. I would say the best period for bodybuilding were the 60s and 70s. Big, ripped and symetrical in equal proportion

  • See my other clip then:) "200 years of bodybuilding" There you can see much much older bodybuilders.

  • nice physiques

  • steve reeves trained his whole body 3 days a week. Did you see sean connery in the video?

  • THESE MEN ARE 100% natural BODYBUILDERS.

  • beautiful bastards!! :))

  • wow, amazing beautiful male physiques!. All natural, and truthfully they look way much better than the man with steroids from now a days.

  • And they used steroids....trust me....

  • @dusan22000 good for them, you jelly? :)

  • they're on steroids bro. From Greg Park to Coleman they all dabbled.

  • Steve Reeves was all natural-just good diet and hard exercise and by the way steriods were legal in the days of Arnold-you could go to a doctor and they would prescribe it to you-but they used about 5% of what the guys use today-thats why their bodies looked like statues of Greek Gods and todays guys are super massive

  • Originally steroid use was more cautious than later: Unknown, possibly negative side effects made old-school BBers nervous, but... They upped their doses a little bit every session, & by the time Arnold was Mr O, 5% was old news. Tho steroids were legal, old-school BBers are more dishonest about using than modern guys: "Using less" is just another lie they tell if they cant get away w/ complete denial. The big dif is that they didn't have GH, but GH makes you look like crap anyway.

  • can someone please tell me if steve reeves wrote a book about how to build a body like his i want to get into bodybuilding and i think he is a right person to learn from unlike all the liars and steroid users today .... so if someo0ne can please tell me if he wrote a book or if he wrote many if u cud give me the names coz i want to get all the information i can about this man bcoz i want to learn from him and if he made any videos of his training or teaching i would appretiate peoples help

  • Hey Joel0277, I do recall seeing a bodybuilding book by Steve Reeves awhile back, Reeves was on the cover doing an incline dumbell press using some heavy dumbells...I don't recall the name of his book.(Bodybuilding My way???) I would suggest that U check steve reeves websites and u will likely find it there

  • Yes he did and I have it. Its called building the classis physique.

  • Who is that at 3:16?

  • all natural no steroids. I have more respect for these than any body builder now. But I see guys at my gym bigger and stronger.

  • this is inspiring to us all..hwo likw to lift weights!

  • Great photos of great phsiques and I really enjoyed the music back-ground. Is it French?

  • Thanks:) The language is Pseudo-Latin.

  • No roid guts there!

  • ... and no small testis...

  • A young Boya Coe at 3min 20sec I remember competing against him at the 1977 Universe in London

  • Wow! Cool that you have competed with Boya Coe.

That dude had great arms in my opinion.

You guys are all a big inspiration to me.

  • Nice of you to say so; competed against many good names from that eara

  • Great video, thanks !! *****

  • Is that Clancy Ross at 0.44, followed by George Hackenschmidt?

  • who is the guy at 3:10 just look at his giant arms and chest

  • dude the third guy whats his name his chest and lats are ripping out of his body awsom vid

  • Thanks:D!

The third guy with the huge lats name is Scott Cooper. A forgotten bodybuilder.

He was titled Mr. Florida in 1967.

  • Excellent, thanks. What is that music?

  • Era-Enae Volare Mezzo

    Glad that you liked it:)

  • sweet dude those guys were leaps and bounds stronger than anyone today and had much better symmetry
