  • they can not do high-pitched voice as before..

  • its really beautiful to watch the old Pompeii version and then watch this, to see how this music truly stands the test of time. this song would still hold its weight 2000 years from now

  • I'm so glad Gilmour took Wright out on this tour, otherwise we wouldn't have seen him one last time...

  • In my personal opinion I think Echoes is the best song ever. Well actually I love all Pink Floyd songs a lot, but this one song- Echoes, It blows me away!

  • @mysoresriram I'm totally agree with that... I even love this song more when I saw the Pompeii DVD

  • @KattoMaltes Same here! I watch the Pompeii version a lot, but I guess Remember that night s a bit better!

  • This is music!

  • who is not obsessed? At least by this song?! Every once in a week i look and LISTEN echoes at pompei! Too good!! A big shame that Richard had to leave this forseaken earth.

David and Richard: they were the men in P.F.; but i do not forget Syd Barrett!

  • who is not obsessed?

  • how do you pull off all those bends without your guitar detuning? =S

  • I WAS HERE! Best exprience of my life, when Gilmour and Wright came to Canada.

  • Kings among men

  • Music made in Heaven....

  • weeeeeeeee this is a good version!! Rick and Dave signing together is so awesome!

  • ...i would kill to see David playing this thing near my bed for only one night before sleeping!!!!! this is SO AMAZING! O____O !!!!!!!!

Am I a Pink Floyd fan?

    Without a doubt.

  • There should a "FUaKING LOVE IT!" button on youtube! i would hit it a billion times to this!

  • I would kill to hear this song live.

  • 7 morons... title from a new comedy film. grande PINK FLOYD

  • I think 7 dislikes were from 7 deaf people who hate the fact they can't listen to the God...

  • 7 people have epilepsy

  • Rick Wright was a magician on the keyboards. Rick R.I.P.!!!

  • SORRY; this post below means 'WISH YOU WERE HERE - ACOUSTIC-VERSION' !!! LES

  • i prefer for this song a 'GIBSON-JUMBO', this guitar don't reach davids standard, sorry !!! LES

  • epilepsy

  • no one can replace Nick Mason.. !!

  • what a performance

    pulse i believe

  • This is my favorite pink floyd song. Has anyone ever noticed how the phantom of the opera musical ripped off thier riff in this song?

  • Momento de Dioses:

Pos aqui con esta version corta de esta rola ahi nomas de media hora la cancionsita ja ja Ea Ea Ea ...

  • To find a better example of complete progressive musical talent and craftsmanship is impossible. I am sad to realize someday these artists will all pass on soon. What will the world be like without Pink Floyd to turn to?

  • 7 people are deaf

  • tres bon

  • Music at its finest.

  • This song is fantastic. Truly progressive rock at its finest.

  • i can hear a great guitar and good keyboard, but i cant hear andy great bass and drums.

  • Talent on loan from GOD!

  • i could listen to this song forever

  • "Waters", wrong tag.

  • this is not a song, this is a composition!!! hope to see gilmour live someday ...

  • This is better than porn

  • You ever hear someone talk about a band and say "you should've seen so-and-so in their prime?" That question does not apply to the members of Pink Floyd! Dave and Rich sound just as good here as the original recording from Meddle. THIS is supreme muscianship right here. The definition of the term actually. Just like MrRyj420 said - Wish I could rock out like a God too!

  • Richard Wright RIP... you were the BEST at what you played.

  • really really amaizing!!!!!!makes me cry!!

  • ting

  • Oh Dave gilmour, what your fingers say to our hearts is simply breath taking, this music is heart soul and spiritualy a part of this planet if not the universe.

  • best group and song for ever!

  • Which DVD is this from? I have the live at Pompei - directors cut - but like to add this to my collection

  • @raosahil David Gilmour - Remember That Night.

Live in Gdansk is from the same tour and it's worth having too :)

  • where are you Nick mason?

  • RIP RICHARD WRIGHT!!!! one of the best songs of all time......

  • fuck those motherfuckers who disliked, i hope they rot in hell, how can you dislike something this beautiful, they dont deserve to listen to or appreciate Pink

  • Fuck, this is music from Valhalla!!!!!!!!

  • you know you're in for something special when you hear the first note and a chill runs down your entire body and your eyes well up with tears.

  • Those monsters will never die!!!

shame on the shit of bieber and gaga of my ass.

  • Comment removed

  • its sweet david can still play it so well and remember how to play it after all these years.

  • Echoes... Never heard before... ... ... What the fuck man ! How could i have been happy without listening this song before ? God please forgive me to discover this song just today, i would have listened to it really before if i would have known it. It's an eargasm. Just wonderful. Can't describe that trance. And gilmour's so good.

  • The first two minutes of this video makes me sad, because it reminds me I will never ever experience to see Richard Wright live :( I am going to Roger Waters in April though :) Gilmour is the only one missing. RIP Rick Wright

  • Gilmour is phenomenal

  • DG is so beautiful at any age.

  • fuck those 5 peopleee that dont have no idea about music....

  • @AH2zxj it's from his dvd, released under his name

  • @AH2zxj : Richard Wright was playing keyboard at Gilmour's tour. Nick Mason wasn't there, nor Roger Waters (Obviously)

  • "in the dark music era of bieber which we live in, there were a group who still managed to form an resistance against '14yo- girl- pop' and their name gave bieber goosebumps....still today you can hear their name echo around the globe.... the name is PINK FLOYD"

    - Me

    2011

  • you can like gilmour... you can like waters... but you cant hate either of them. so shut the hell up please, and listen to this stellar, cosmic fcking masterpiece.. ty for the upload mate

    <3 from the United Kingdom

  • one of the most amazing songs ever written

  • Just played this on vinyl a few hours ago. A brilliant piece!

  • eiste marmotas gioi, waters kai den eimai kala

  • at least roger waters sticks to the original version wich is the best.guilmours always improvising on songs originally cosidered as masterpiece.good guit player but no more voice.ouch

  • @superpinkfloyd100 no more voice? what the hell are you talking about?

plus everyone knows roger waters uses playback on tons of songs since his In the Flesh tour

  • @kattastrofe hey a bit of respect to the genius behind all the music and lyrics of the best band in the world.no roger waters no floyd .guilmour shouldnt have the rigth to use floyds name.david is a guitar genius period.all he wrote after waters leaving is pure shit.

  • @superpinkfloyd100 I'm not disrespecting him, I'm only saying the truth. Plus he's not behind all the music. Plus you shouldn't say all Gilmour wrote after Waters is shit when he wrote Marooned for example.

  • @superpinkfloyd100 Agreed but it wouldn't be Pink Floyd without Gilmour either. Or Wright, or Mason.

  • @why0isnt0this0workin or Barrett

  • @kattastrofe don t get me wrong i don t hate gilmour.but would you like someone going out with your girlfriend.roger should feel a bit like that when he sees his former partners having fun whit HIS music and ideas.ever seen roger live.the real floyd exp.ive seen him 3 times.last was the wall 2010.magic.i was crying buddy.anyway keep loving him i like to see that a lot of people love what i love .ciao

  • @superpinkfloyd100 I saw Roger live in 2007 playing Dark Side of the Moon.

A Momentary Lapse of Reason and Division Bell are worse than what Floyd recorded in the 70's, but you can't forget that The Final Cut is boring as hell and a lot of stuff from Roger's solo career is boring too.

They were perfect together, that's all.

  • @kattastrofe i disagree when you say that final cut is boring .did you know that roger waters wrote the wall and final cut as one and only album but had to make a final choice when time came to record the wall.i mean he had to decide wich songs were going on the wall and kept others for further recordings.by the way where d yu from.

  • @superpinkfloyd100 I'm from Brazil. And as far as I know it wasn't intended to be one album, it was intended to be the soundtrack for the movie The Wall with some re-recorded versions and new songs based on The Wall storyline.

  • @superpinkfloyd100:Final Cut was Roger's goodbye message.

  • @superpinkfloyd100 i wanan punch you in the fucking face, how can you say what david gilmour writes is shit?

  • @Mwtorres24 punch me punch me not.how a smart guy like gilmour can say that he wrote music you can compare to what they used to play before.its not even half the quality that waters wrote.the voices are annoying but the guitar in another hand is good. real fans know what im saying assh...wanna fight.ooooooooo.

  • except for learning to fly you are completly right

  • @superpinkfloyd100 - i can't believe someone with a profile name like yours could make such a comment. Evolving a song though its stage performance it at the heart of live music for me.. Imagine you went to see a band and it sounded the same as the record, i'd want my money back.

  • Who ever said R.I.P Gilmour hes not dead hes the best hes goin carry on for years!

  • 50 years from now there will be colleges people can take to study Pink Floyd, only thing is how they made their music is a code that will never be cracked

  • Comment removed

  • Gilmour + Wright has been the most perfect combination of rock´s history...

  • Rick: *ting*

    Crowd: YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @snk07

    Rick *ting*

    the World: YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @snk07 Big smile.... good description.

  • @snk07 Rick could turn on the whole audience with a wave of a finger...Rest in peace

  • @snk07 lol i was just about to put a comment saying something like that :D

  • The best, the absolute best that modern music has to offer, as far as I'm concerned.

  • E' una delle canzoni e musiche più belle dei Pink Floyd.

  • RIP Richard Wright

  • just a single note makes the audience go wild.

  • @xYhonnyx

one note is all they needed to know whats coming

  • @wispa1a of course, thats the most recognizable detuned B in history :)

  • GOD RICHARD WRIGHT AND DAVID GILMOUR AMAZING MUSICIANS THE BEST THIS EARTH HAS EVER HAD

  • Comment removed

  • It sucks that David Gilmour stole Nick Masons drums and robbed three convenience stores shortly after WWI. If he wouldn't have done that then Pink Floyd would have gone on to make the song Time and Gunners Dream... such a shame things work out this way... Did i mention that Roger Waters is a robot, because that is kinda important

  • @ImAwesomeCunt

    haha you pot head.

  • this is soooooooooooooooo gay...

nah just kidding love pink floyd (:

  • Ladies and gentlemen, with you: THE MUSIC in all its glory...

  • There's no words to describe the poetry and the magic of the Pink Floyd's sound.....

  • Sounds are stupendous...a classic song played by veritable genius-level musicians.

  • who the heck are the 5 losers who dislike this video o.O

    prolly bieber's groupies -.-

  • Great vid, thanks for posting! I've been listening to them since I was 13. I'm 45 now, and they still give me chills! Timeless.......

  • Richard Wright is the best keyboardist ever existed !

  • @omarrakib My girlfriend is the best fish pie maker who has ever existed!

  • @TehUberCyberBeast O YEAH I HEARD ONE OF MY FRIENDS FUCKED HER IN A PARKING LOT HE SAID YOUR GIRLFRIEND HAD CRABS

  • @elgrande1987 Riveting tale, chap.

  • It sucks so much that Roger Waters left the band....

  • Breath taking. A master class in music. Legends...

  • I nominate David Gilmour the most talented contemporary blues and soul guitar artist.

  • The high sound for excellence !!!! fantastic video !

  • This is music - that beautiful wailing guitar.

Thanks so much for uploading, love it!

  • You can tell who all PF fans are cause only one note causes them to applaud.

  • @happyface4444 that is probably the greatest note of all time

  • 20 min of perfection!!!!!!!

  • i'm speechless 0_0

  • The David Gilmour-Richard Wright pairing is the best vocal harmony pairing of all time

  • If I was at a Pink Floyd show and heard that keyboard 'ping' right at the beginning, I'd soil myself

  • @rahooligan Oh christ I know. Me too.

  • killer

  • 6:44 makes me grin like a child.

  • that really deserves the often used term "KICK ASS"!!!

  • Great! But, just wish the "groove" that starts at 6:26 was a little slower- like the original, which gave it an even cooler feel.

  • awesome. though i like the live at the pompeji version much better.

  • Great song, the beginning in keyboard looks like no quarter from Led Zeppelin - 0:27 till 0:55

  • @roupher no, No Quarter sounds like Echoes, the Zep plagiarized a lot, but still they re great

  • @santiagodebellavista , you are right, I agree with your opinion, Floyd was, is and will be the best band of all times in my opinion.

  • Great song, the beginning in keyboard looks like no quarter from Led Zeppelin

  • Love that funky bit in the middle! They were really jammin! I'd love to have been the guy playing rythem guitar. Just to have been there sharing the stage with geniouses. :)

  • @bwd81977: That "guy playing rhythm guitar" is Phil Manzanera, a fairly accomplished guitarist in his own right. ;-)

  • I know music is subjective to everyone, but its really hard to believe that someone could not like this. Pink Floyd is probably the most creative, origional band Ive ever heard. Davids guitar playing is pure magic! :)

  • pretty heavy shit...blotter acid anyone?

  • mw encanta pOnerme pachekO con el pink de roger i gilmour :-)

  • Yr right bmett. , all 3 times !! :-)

  • Just David in silhouette at 1:10 is awe inspiring! The long hair may be gone, but he is still a GOD!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! You can pick the blues out of this one so easily. Geniuses at work here!

  • amazing as always- but no match for the Pompeii version of this song...

  • I feel good when I listen to good music... Like all ... And he's too good... Simply awesome... I'll thank Tabata for sending me your video... I loved it!!!!.. :)

  • Fantástico D++++++++++++++++:))))))) Parabéns, meus olhos/ouvidos agradecem esta MARAVILHA !!!! Abraços

  • David Gilmour, your fan number one in Rio de Janeiro...

  • floyd should be taught in school as structure, timing, pauses and flow .this is how to write music not the crap thats mainstream now

  • Pink Floyd live is an epileptic's worst fear

  • @ride4ride10 Yes, Johnny Rotten was/is apparently an epilitic. Maybe that is why he wore a I hate Pink Floyd T shirt. He couldn't handle the light shows.

  • David's solos are always awesomes

  • dude...for million times I wished that PF have united for 30th anniversary of Echoes at the same location in Pompeii, in Amphitheater...I wished million times!

  • simplemente asombroso como se deleitan mis oidos con estos sonidos....

  • ping...

  • Shame I'll probably never get to see this live in person now that Gilmour is done with touring, and wright is gone (it isnt the same without wright, he was 50% of the vocals, and that ping is his signature)

I wouldnt mind seeing waters live, but gilmour would be awesome to see live.

  • This show is fantastic.. great David Gilmour.

    R.I.P. Richard

  • whenever anybody hears (well not anybody...but PF fans) that first ping sound...you know you're in for a 23 minute experience. Never get sick of this song. It's different everytime

  • the absolute height of epicness...no words

  • remove waters and mason and you still have the pink floyd sound.

  • @mizmite I'll have to disagree...Waters has some great bass lines in all the songs...very creative, and without that the floyd would not be the same. and Mason's drummer is unique, sure it can be covered, but Mason has that special touch to it

  • Its slightly ironic that the crap that the five dislikers listen to is probably inspired by Pink Floyd :D

  • cant beat gilmour and wright, man.....the real soul of pink floyd
