  • It actually fits the song really well. Very seductive and what not.

  • dig that blond toupee!

  • I would rather say "Robbie Krieger" but "The Doors" is fair enough. Anyway still - who cares? Did Morrison care about what Kurt Weil would say? Chill out, man. And Mike Flowers really pops!

  • @candoanything654 Who cares what Morrison would say? It's not his song. :)

  • @piotrzarek yea it isnt jim morisons song its THE DOORS.

  • look at all these pussys covering jim morrison and making the song look gay..this is what jim morrison didnt want

  • @candoanything654

How do you know that? did he tell you in a dream or something. As far as stupid comments go...its pretty impressive idiot

  • @SuperSimonuk did you watch the doors movie or when your strange you fucking idiot. it clearly says in the movies morrison did not want to sell the song for a commercial or anything else.

  • @candoanything654

Yes I have seen the Doors Movie, and like you said it was a movie, made in Hollywood, a place where history is embelleshed for entertainment purposes so neither you or I can say that what we saw in the movie is 100% fact. Maybe its true, and it may be the case that morrisson did not want to "sell music" yet at the same time he did tv shows like ed sullivan to promote the music and he apparently (according to the movie) enjoyed the wealth that his commercial success afforded

  • @SuperSimonuk im talking bout when your strange not oliver stone. and im sorry..how can you defend this shit. the lizard king made the song what it is. and this fruit is making the song fucking fruity as fuck. he didnt go on ed sullivin for wealth.if it was for wealth, he would have not said "higher" they were only there to play the song once. the doors were real. everything from the doors comes from heart

  • @candoanything654 In order to appreciate Mike Flower's humor and musicianship, you'd have to be aware of the smooth and conservative musical stylings featured on The Lawrence Welk Show during the 50s and 60s. Also, if you truly knew anything about The Doors, you'd recognize that Flowers uses Jose Felliciano's version of Light My Fire (circa '68) as the basis for this arrangement (jose's version was morrison's favorite). Keep worshiping those cults of personality, doofus

  • @ritter89 ok well mike flowers is a fucking fruit... i like the doors for there intrest in revolt and disobedience. thats how i saw morrison. dude u can go fuck yourself.i love how u say"if i knew anything" cuz i know a whole lot about the doors. saw the doors move and when your strange...and right now im watching no one here gets out alive and saw a whole bunch of seperate videos about the doors... noneof those vids said shit bout likin ths

  • @candoanything654 I too believe only in things that lie within my own direct experience.

  • @candoanything654 what, are you 15? 16 years old?

  • @candoanything654 Yes i have seen both and the point i was trying to make is that I do not believe anything in the movies, i dont believe what i see on the news because it is all propaganda. Not only that the term commercial use is rather vague, since the doors made music which was commercially marketed by the same media that we use today. Im rather suspicious of your willingness to believe everything you see and read and hear. Do you never question the status quo? or are you a sheep?

  • @SuperSimonuk Well i read the stuff you posted and figured putting any comments on any intellectual value may be wasted on you.

  • @candoanything654 you dont know shit about anything

  • @SuperSimonuk ok mike flowers faggot. the doors forever

  • @candoanything654 I think you may have been a little too low brow to be considered his target audience also

  • I like it!

  • very grooooovy baby !!!!!!!!!

  • @ptpt1 STOP.The Doors are God and Jim Morrison is a legend.

  • @anciLovesJim God is dead, Morrison is immortal

  • @ptpt1 idiot

  • @ptpt1 It is a Doors song

  • @ptpt1 doors version is not a cover

  • @ptpt1 Uhm You mean you don't like this cover FROM the doors? But have a open heart.. this intended to be fun..

  • This is campy awesomeness

  • SMOOOOOOOOOOOTTTHHH , like warm body lotion . Lights down , something light fruity & chilled , this playing , you cannot fail ( hopefully )

Nice one Mike just love te style

  • So Kitsch!!!

  • Mike Flowers and Chuck Norris clashed once. It took over realms, and destroyed worlds! Until they landed on Middle Earth.

There they fought until both exhausted, neither could win, and they knew it.

To bond their new respect they created a child in the furnace of time.

Both returned to Earth, never to tell of their disputable powers.

They left their child on middle earth... a secret....

Chuck whispered to JR Tolkien of this tale.

And Tolkien added the child to his story...

    Tom Bombidil!

  • Mike Flowers is the chosen one.

  • Mike Flowers is fab and he's got the voice.

  • It's a piss take for fooks sake!! People getting serious over it

  • Hilarious! He replaces all the 'aarrrhhh" in a song (Van Morrison's term) with laughing gas!

  • Covering a Doors song in an easy listening style was actually a little bit redundant because The Doors had already flirted with aspects of it throughout their career. Jim Morrison was part 50s crooner at heart anyway,e.g. Moonlight Drive. And the likes of Touch Me from The Soft Parade album.

The Mike Flowers Pop version of Wonderwall was much more of a departure from the original artist.

  • Brilliant!

  • Mike and the Flower pops for President!

  • Peace

  • the first time i saw this, I had something like WTF but now i have something like Its oke.

  • This version is for Tom Jones

  • Just like when I saw a picture of an original pair of Gandhi's sandals this song makes my toes curl with excitement , and along with Leo Sayer Mike Fowers is also one of the finest sex symbols Great Britain has produced we should be proud of him , one salutes you .

  • Is that his real hair? I would give my left nut to have hair like that.

  • @chromium77 Really? I'm sure there are many hair colorists who could make your hair look like this, but they will either want no nuts or both.... What an absurd trade to offer!

  • @HunterMann my hair is too thin its not robust like his but I still want to know if thats a wig

  • @chromium77 Likely a wig or colored hair with lots of hairspray. Please don't trade any body parts for a wig or style job.

  • @StanBennet u know mike flowers?

  • This is great, must get some of his albums.

  • Fab & totally groovy. Saw you on theBBC4 Easy Listening doc last night Mike. Please do some Herb Alpert sometime.

  • Thank God for sacrilege.

  • this guy is a mix of jack johnson and elton john

  • This is so wrong, that it makes everything so right!

  • this guy would do what ever Ed Sullivan told him to

  • wheres the ten minute organ and guitar solo?

  • Ladies and gentlemen, in live, in concert, AAAAAAAUSTIN POOOOOOWERS

  • lo siento, pero el corito de mierda hace que el tipo sea mas basura de lo que es

  • this dude suck, Jim is the Best!

  • love it when he gets wild at 1:19.. HAWT XD

  • He is a human Ken Doll! :D

  • @Edd20022 You're so right - He looks exactly like the Ken doll from Toy Story 3 - Do you think he's got a sinister side?

  • @MsSoliloquy , Nah, i reckon old Mike is all about live and peace, and just generally a groovy time! :D

  • @Edd20022 you mean ken isnt human? what about barbie?

  • so horny.....

  • damn i love this video...like their spin-off of the song and it was pretty goofy

  • LOL great video !! seriously, I'm probably the most die-hard fan of The Doors in here, and was not offended at all. This guy gave he cover an original rythm and put some humor into it. Snoop Dogg covering The Doors, now that's offensive.

  • this is tremendous

  • no mms..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

el papa de justin biber cantando ligth my fire!!!!

    jajjaajajja

simplimente este video no tiene madre x k es una chingadera

osea no es un insulto a el rock, sino una groseria a la musik!!!!

  • I bet without that ellen degeneres wig he'd be pretty good looking

  • love this one :)

even if it´s a "fun" project (i.e. it never intended to be taken seriously), it´s still good music

  • please upload ''Call Me" by The Mike Flowers Pops

it is on the austin powers movie ,at soundtracks ,but i can't find it on the web

  • Jim would have a great laugh! Or not!

  • This is more a cover of Jose Feliciano's cover of the song

  • the original austin power lol

  • It's funny when you go back and actually listen to the doors original and realise this version is pretty faithful.

  • @pipefx64 Of course it was not ! it was written by krieger and even in the first record it didn't sound like this!!!! but this is ok i guess

  • fuck this faggot.

i'll throw an egg at his face and thoroughly punch him in the nuts.

you ruined jims image man, go suck more dick, i'm sure hes better at that than covering songs by the best band ever.... grrrrr

  • @natalinaBOMB Me thinks thou dost protest too much as far as the dick-sucking goes. I hear that's what you majored in at the Beauty School. Anyway, learn to laugh or do us a favour and find your very own funeral pyre.

  • ramon tiene a zulma faiaaad :D

  • Hey Up, Not a bad version and my favourite ever band is the Doors and I was lucky enough to see The Doors twice with Jim up front

  • Those women singing backup are scary looking!

  • Why hasn't this comedic genius done MORE send-up's of rock classics???

What a scream! Thanks for posting.

  • @petclark1 Buy the album. A Groovy Place. It's full of it.

  • esta padre la rola aunque el tipo sea americanista o sea gay pero el cover esta bien

  • Is this any worse than Jose Feliciano's version?

  • damn gay that song is the greatest hymn of the doors jim bet has to be pulling the hair of courage and I hate that motherfucker plagiarize this good song and makes it a crap that would put on a cabaret haaaa! hopefully you syphilis or gonorrhea transvestite XD

  • @elcomicnegro I'm trying to decide which is sadder-your rather obvious attempt at trolling or your rather inept grasp of the English language. In either case, you've failed abysmally, you waste of oxygen, you.

  • @elcomicnegro I'm trying to decide which is sadder-your rather obvious attempt at trolling or your rather inept grasp of the English language. In either case, you've failed abysmally, you waste of oxygen, you.

  • I´m so sure ! Jimmy would like´d it so much !

  • @drjekyll66 ya, jim would get the joke and would be laughing in a good natured spirit of of this version.

  • Dsquared! ;)

  • It's just me, isn't it, (?) but that sax player is a right little cutey babe, isn't she...!

  • Mike Flowers Pops will be performing live this weekend (Sunday 17th - 7pm till late) at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, Hoxton Square - London. Cheers!

  • @oblongoblix bump

  • Everything that Mike Flowers does is wonderful!!!!

  • Thing is, you can't really dislike Mike Flowers. Even if ou don't like the music, lol

  • :DD

  • I rather enjoy this Mike Flowers chap.

  • bored... where is the fire?

  • @LoveDenniMadly Mike Flowers is so cool it extinguishes the fire.

  • I'm a huge Mike Flowers Pops fan!!

    I'm mum to say how many times I've watched "Wonderwall" . . it's embarrasing . . .

  • the intro is cool, though the rest is like easy gay mellow shit by a man who has taken every drug in human history since 1839

  • Someone under a grave in Paris must be yelling bitterly right now.

  • @Tristogenes

Someone under a grave in Paris probably doesn't give a shit.

  • @Tristogenes So you completely overlooked the satire/humor in both the video and musical arrangement/vocals? Do you lack a sense of humor, as well? I always thought it was blatantly obvious what Mike Flowers was about. How could you miss it so thoroughly? Mike's an extremely talented vocalist and arranger who does send- ups of popular tunes and old standards. I'm sure Morrison would have loved this version.

  • The sixties were brought back in the nineties thanks to Mike!

  • whaaaat the fuck?

  • The Republican version of Light My Fire...lol.

  • They lack the fire! Where is the fire that Morrison hinted in this song?

    I do not like

but still, is a good cover for a television commercial ...

  • yes, where the fack is the fire man.. :(

  • this dude is awesome..lol..love it..

  • ..................... where is the fire here????

  • Much better than the Will Young effort.................he destroyed it.

  • The hair... DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE HAIR!!! Its Glorius!!!

  • KICK ASS ..

  • This is a pretty damn good lounge cover of a kick ass song. I didn't like it that much at first but it really grew on me.

  • another ten years and this will be regarded authentic

  • hahaha sounds more like a bossa nova version

  • Great, great spoof--they really capture the potty silliness of so much music in the 60s, when 2nd-tier artists would "pop" the music for older audiences, like Moms and Dads and grandparents, who were alarmed by the radical stuff--but would enjoy this kind of pap on The Andy Williams Show or Lawrence Welk, LOL.

  • @wingtips123 Perfect analyzation. This is not queer.

  • Ya sabemos lo que paso con juliancito bravo...

  • mike flowers comic genius these songs were done in a sixties cheesie new generation dancers type image to show you all that was shit about the sixties

  • 60's was shit? im 18 and would have loved to lived into the 60's! The Beatles, Elvis etc etc

  • @baronbrez the same for me ;-)

  • the 60's, this is from the 90's!

  • Yeah baby... Flowers is like the love child of Val Doonican and Andy Williams, with a little twist of Bing Crosby lol

  • this version is really close to the cover that Josè Feliciano made.. its here on youtube so look it up!! ;)

  • you may not like a beautiful song into something com what it .........

without words hurt my ears to me just for that ... and wants to take the style of jim he rots

  • @MrTenbuhourin ... wtf are you talkin about?

  • Well done :D

  • Seems like 99% of the commentaries here doesn't get the sense of 'Easy Listening Lounge' Covers-.-"

  • what the f----!...this is stupid

  • please explain.

  • this gay is so sissy

  • Well-dressed charmless man with superb music feeling to make it better than original. Spoke to Mike last night by phone - greetings to you all here from him.

  • classic kitsch

    the doors its the best

    this ''flower'' is gay

  • heureusement qu'il y en a sur cette Terre qui savent déconner ! qu'est-ce qu'on se ferai chier sinon !!

  • c clair !

  • I dont know, maybe the best cover of Light My Fire since Jose Feliciano?

  • Hmm why does that guy make me think of Alan Partridge??

  • That was so bad. But it was pretty funny.

  • jajajajaja

  • Kitsch and much class

  • Never fails at making me laugh myself out of my chair. Even funnier is that my boss seriously likes this version!!!

  • Bought the album in '96. Then lost it. This is the first time i hear this again since then. Love his Jefferson Airplane-cover the most. Thanks.

  • mike is too intelligent to be estimeate but this stupid flat world

  • Relax people! If Michael Bolton can get an award singing someone else's song then who are we to judge. Its good clean fun and its comedy. Chill for a moment, laugh at it or look at something else. Nowaddameen?

  • Man if I wore that outfit I would look like a total tool, but Mike looks so awesome!!
