• vote gravel, give em hell

  • GRAVEL2008[.]US

    Educate yourself about the NATIONAL INITIATIVE

  • if you go on daily kos, they seems to favor edwards a lot.

  • Wow! I am so glad I watched this video. I was so disgusted with the format and bullshit going on with that debate that I started not to pay attention. I really like what Gravel is saying here. Stand up and pay atttention America. Stand up for anyone who is trying to get past the powers that be and get a bit of truth to you. It's our only hope.

  • Gravel is still beating the true drum of American patriotism.

    Win or Loose, the American People should vote for themselves by signing the National Initiative petition.

    All our big problems, the best solution (the People having real power), and this man are far bigger than the results of one election.

    Gravel should talk more about it during the actual debates.

  • How about organizing a tournament, one on one 1 hour sessions. Let those politicians talk and talk about every detail of their positions. This stressfull "You've got 15 seconds" "You've got 5 seconds" is ridiculous. The tournament concept should let them speak without time limits.

  • I do wish he explained the fair tax more. It would have made his presence even more significant. But, I think he was mainly trying to say that the issue sprouts from the way taxation is set up currently. Hopefully in the next debate or forum, he'll go into more detail.

  • Nobody is perfect. Gravel has dyslexia and has handled it beautifully throughout his political career. We should show support for him and also give helpful constructive criticism too. I'd think he'll appreciate it.

    Gravel for 2008

  • Mike Gravel needs real support from us in the blog world. This is going to come when we start to support him with MONEY. Give him all you can so his voice can stay strong till the end.

  • Go Gravel!

  • Some great responses and moments for Gravel. I wish he'd talked a bit about the Fair Tax when asked about it, though.

  • Gravel has Balls of steel. Too bad Americans don't know a good man when they see one.

  • Maybe more of Us know it than the Media would like for us to believe.

    They should try covering the candidates equally for a change. Here's a thought: How about informing the American people about the Candidates we are less familiar with, as oppose to overwhelmingly focusing on the one's we're already very familiar with.

    Journalism has never been such a dirty word.

  • Fucken A Gravel. Shake those dozers Up.!!!You Da man.

  • And yet, the Kos crowd claims Hillary as their champion. That just doesn't make sense. She must be some sweet talker.

  • That's actually quite false - Hillary has consistently polled lower than the "No f'ing clue" option on Daily Kos straw polls. For months.

  • I'm sure you're right ... so, next question is: why is "mainstream media" claiming Kos is endorsing Clinton as their preferred candidate? I'm still not convinced there will even be an election in 2008 and if there is, if anyone who can make a difference will be on the ballot.

  • the answer is no. Nothing is going to change in politics. You're life is bound to get harde though unless you start to put up a real fight. call them, email them, make your friends do the same, March Protest DEMAND CHANGE stop waiting for it.

  • Love the video =) The reason Gravel doesn't waste time on talking about taxes is like he said it WILL NEVER HAPPEN as long as our congress is in full power. The only way is to vote for the National Initiative(NI). His whole campaign is about the NI that is the main point, none of his ideas will go anywhere without it!!

  • Check out Mike Gravel, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

    * Most accomplished Democratic Statesmen on 2008 presidential ballot

    * Single-handedly ended Vietnam draft

    * Started National Initiative to give American Citizens legislative rights

    * Will ACTUALLY end war in Iraq

    * Only candidate not funded by special interests

    * Universal Healthcare. Period.

    * End war on drugs

    Gravel2008 . us

  • I loved how everyone stood up and started clapping when he said "If they wanted to end the war they would vote on it Every single day morning noon and night" people are starting to see through the bullshit of the other candidates little by little.

  • But all in all, this was an excellent appearance by Gravel - I think he got all his points across in a strong fashion.

  • "What the people have to realize.. "What americans want.." I hate to pick on Gravel (as a supporter) but several candidates are constantly using such presumptuous verbiage. First - people don't HAVE to realize anything, and I doubt they enjoy being told so. If u feel it's important, then u should simply say so, rather than being didactic. Second, saying someone wants something (such as America wanting themselves) is just plain dumb. If it is true, then it is superfluous. If it is false..

  • No wonder they won't let him talk in the MSM "debates"!

  • Mike Gravel -- the candidate with a backbone -- NOT a bloated bank account backed by corporate bundlers!

  • In answer to a question on his tax policy he made a speech that - while interesting - said nothing about his tax policy. I'm not impressed.

  • If you go to his website you'll see that he lays his policies out for and talks about the fair tax. I understand your point. Part of me was asking myself if he dodged this question or not. Yes and no. Yes, it's true he didn't answer the question that was asked of him, but no, he didn't dodge it at the same time because, he stated that the gov't and the congress aren't going to change the tax structure anytime soon regardless of an alternative.

  • He knew he didn't have enough time to defend the targeted question so he used jujitsu and schooled them.

  • Everything you could want to know is laid out on gravel08 us and the fairtax org site. The fact is, it's not even worth talking about changing the IRS until you make the politicians accountable to the people.

    Also, the question was pretty trivial. Obviously the tax prebate checks could be sent well ahead of time and postdated. Or electronically transferred. Not to mention the fact that people will already have more money left over from not paying taxes on their paychecks.

  • If the question was pretty trivial, why didn't he address it instead of dodging it?
