  • no no no. Nothing will ever match the real thing.

  • What if I try to play NTSC Games on a PAL console? Any problems I might encounter with that? :S

  • I just ordered one on warnersretrocorner(dot)com

cant wait till I receieve it!

  • anyone complaining about the price or option of having the board shipped alone must be new to the retro gaming community? as of late the only other option other then krikzz 's was retro usb's cart which was high up into the triple digits by slimming the product just to the board krikzz has kept the price down at a reasonable amount. seriously bout $80 bucks us for evry single snes / genesis / and sms game !! how cany u justify any complaint.?

  • can't

  • Can this cart play FX chip games or games that have external chips like Super Mario RPG??

  • the only thing that bothers me is,like many companny's doing, why the hell they only sold the motherboard, why they tell you to buy a saperate cartride case and forcing you to drill/mill holes to fit the board inside,is it so hard, expansive for the companny to put a cartride case on it,besides, what if you accidantally put the board incorrectly in the snes, you may couse shortings, just shame on it!!!!!!

  • @johneymute create plastic shell it is not so easy, and this expensive also. it is not a problem if you sell millions of devices, but is is problem if you sell very small amount

  • Awesome work Biokrik, i bought the MD everdrive and it´s fantastic, hope to buy this soon ;)

  • I've been constantly talking about this and the Everdrive to my friends while my wife is around hoping she gets the hint and picks them up for me on Xmas.

  • thanks now i know where to find one,but only weird is you need to find and mod a emty cartride case to fit in the motherboard, also they forcing you to use paypal you got no other choice, and even if you have a paypal account you can,t still not pay.

,you need a creditcard or you stuck with it.

  • @johneymute what do you mean?

  • just awesome now if i know where i can find those things i will be very aprecciated.

  • @johneymute you can find them here shop. retrogate. com

  • Want!

  • we need a bundle deal on this and the sega mega drive everdrives lol! i'd buy both in an instant if i could use paypal on krikkz site.. need to find another method i guess

  • Nice one, though flashing seems to take forever ;)

However it looks like you use a 3.3V Flash+CPLD.

Both of these parts are not 5V I/O tolerant (which is the level that the SNES uses).

For level "translation" you seem to use resistors as a current limiter, relying on the clamping diodes inside the chips.

This results in considerable reverse current to the voltage regulator, and also there's narrow noise margin for data sent to the SNES. How are these issues dealt with? Stability is good so far?

  • @fnord64

cart works stable. my sega cart, builded many mounhts ago, use same circuit and also works fine.

by the way, 3.3V Flash, which i use, has 5V tolerant I/O

  • Looks cool! I've been using SMC & SWC DX copiers since 1992 and think this great. Just had a couple questions.

    1. Is there any chance of adding DSP2 support to this or others (FX, Seta, Cps, etc)...?

    2. Do you have to pad the roms or something ? The rom size of your Mario World shows 1MB, when it' actually 4Mb (megabits).

    3. Is there anyway to skin the menu screen? I really like the menu on the Super Wild Card DX.

  • @videogameobsession

    1) no

    2) menu shown <1m (less than 1 mbyte)

    3) currently no

  • Great work! Keep it up! I've recommended a friend to buy it, but personally I'm very happy with just the md version.

  • Damn krik i really love what your doing for the retro community. thanks so much. i really wish i coulda got my hands on one of ur gennesis everdrive's but stoneagegamer are all sold out. well i await the release of ur snes everdrive and thanks again . cheers

  • amazing stuff, can't wait to get one

  • You will go down in history mate! :)
