Honestly, I hate the content. I love the artistry, the music, the action, but the necessity of children as killing machines makes me unutterably sad.

I guess thats why I can look at it like art, some art has to challenge convention and make you feel uncomfortanble in your own skin.. This is what it does to me.

I think art is meant to raise questions, and leave them unanswered. This anime raises the question of child soldiers and how they have to deal with identity, trauma and loneliness.

In the anime they are necessary, they need kids for the cyborg project. What if we need them in the future, what are we going to do?
