When she started talking, she would ask for "The Booby Song" and click on the laptop to replay it, sometimes a dozen times, while she fed until she fell asleep. I'm currently nursing a 7 week old and hope to continue until she is at least 2. In the last 2 years, I've learned so much about nursing babies and toddlers. It's still something for me to get used to watching other people do it, which is why the images of biting and stuff made me shudder at first. This is stupid and wrong because there are countless videos of women having sex on you tube, either in fiction or for real, but a woman feeding her children being flagged as obscene is crazy and distorted.

It's an actual campaign against the channel. We get a lot of abuse back here, and threats to report the channel to the FBI etc, for child pornography. Several groups of people have stated they will hound YouTube until the 'filth' is removed. Many of them friend the channel, and start a report campaign as soon as a new video is loaded up. They then start flagging, and the filters appear in a day or so. We don't get annoyed by it - YouTube keeps the videos up. We win. :-)

I'm still nursing my daughter who is now 3 years old! Her preschool teacher says she is well advanced for her age. Breastfed children indeed have higher IQs and she hasn't been sick since she was one. I am allowing her to wean herself and she nurses 2 times a day.

I'm sorry you both had such bad support. Especially as the best thing to do with mastitis is to carry on breasfteeding non-stop, and keep emptying the breast. Most mothers who ended up either not breasfteeding, or giving up, have done so because of bad advice and poor support. Hopefully, we're now turning the edge on this, and mothers and babies will no longer be let down so woefully by those supposed to care for them. :-)
