@thebaddest014 Yeah, I'm from Heber Springs (kinda north Arkansas) and I speak almost normally, but instead of "ing" I use a "in" sorta sound, along with a few other southern things.
hi. I`m taking american accent course i want to get rid of my stupid portuguese accent. well it`s not the easiest thing to do but it`s possible to learn a new accent just like anything else however some people take more time than others
the bug that rolls up when you touch it is called a woodlouse(in nature im sure) but it also is named a slater for some reason, i call my grandparents granny and grandpa, but thats personally me, im from edinburgh scotland. I'm too shy or havent got the guts to do an accent video.
I'm from Iowa, and I must say that I have always been a fan of southern accents. They just make me melt. My mom is from Texas, and she doesn't have an accent at all anymore, but when we visit relatives down there I love it. I know there are different types of southern accents, but I have to say...for me...it's all good. haha
I'm brazilian, and I speak English since I was a little boy. Altough, I imagined that in USA probably had many differents accents, as there are here in Brazil, I've never had realized this notable difference, I barely could understand some words you said. What did say you after the word ' sure' ?
This is why I love the south. Even after a long day at work, our girls are still prettier than West Coast girls. Why do you think they get so much plastic surgery?
@KyraPractor Depends on who you ask. To me, southern states include: Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia. I think most people would consider Texas southern as well. I'm from the Deep South, so personally I would not. You get different answers from Texans themselves, some asserting that yes TX is southern, others saying no it's its own entity. Florida gets an honorable mention, but its status is debatable.
Your Grandfather calls it the channel changer because that's all the very 1st remotes could do, back in the 50's and early 60's. Back then it required a motor insude the TV to turn the mechanical ch selector(changer) .
that's the accent I hear all the time. oddly, when I speak people around here say I have a different accent. Was raised here in Arkansas though, so I don't know why.
In my house we call the remote control the "Ching Ching" bcuz when like when my mom was a kid u could like sit in front of the tv and shake change and the channel would change and the sound would make "ching ching" lol
@angelprincessT I really admire you for how you've taken all this harrassment! Ik you don't know me but, I really do(: They're just ignorent fools!! (: You're actually really pretty and I'm not just saying that, @SonyaOOOlights . And it's really sad that she has to tell others how unattractive they are (really aren't) to make herself feel better . (:
@thedancer847 Eh it's no big deal :) I think it's kind of funny. I think the reason I was blocked was because I'm obviously not the type to get all hurt over it. lol it's just the internet! Pretty sure almost all of the people that get on the internet to pick on people and try to bring them down are the self-conscious ones, so I feel sorry for them! I'm happy with my life, looks, and everything else so I couldn't care less lol :D Thanks for taking up for me though! It's sweet!! :)
@SonyaOOOlights why are you so douchey? it's not nice to go onto people's videos and call them ugly. no one gives a crap if you're a "part time model" would you like a sticker? Didn't your parents ever teach you the "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything" philosophy? @angelprincessT I think you're pretty :) they are just trollin hard and looking to make themselves feel better obviously. clearly have nothing better to do. p.s. I call raining with the sun out "sun showers"
@SonyaOOOlights Oh, and sweetheart? Learn to spell, and go take a grammar course at your local community college. It will do you wonders. It's quite necessary if you want to harass people on the internet.
@angelprincessT Yes, I agree with you and "thedancer"... SOMETIMES I am critical of something, but it seems that some people go online specifically to "pick a fight" or "be obnoxious", which is just bizarre. And her (SonyaOOOlights') grammar/spelling (and lack of it) was atrocious... though at least (small favors) she didn't write "epic fail" or "BFF" or "M8"...
@shmuli9 I agree lol. It's like, why get on here and say "oh my god you are unattractive...stop denying it that's so embarrassing" like seriously who does that? lol
@SonyaOOOlights Who cares if you blocked me? You are the one harrassing people on YouTube. You are NOT a model, lol. I'm also not fat. I'm 5'4'' and 118 pounds. Grow up. I'm not unattractive, I'm actually quite pretty. I don't really care that you think I'm ugly because you watched a low-quality YouTube video. I hope you did block me, because you're seriously one of the most horrible internet trolls I've ever come across!
@thedancer847 What DO they call carbonated drinks in Arkansas? "Coke"? She doesn't have a particularly strong accent... I live in Seattle, and I'd call a 'wheeled contraction at a supermarket' a 'shopping cart' and one of the smaller things one carries on one's arm in a supermarket a 'basket'... And I'd probably also say 'remote control', though I've heard other terms, which I always thout were for humor, like 'clicker'...
@shmuli9 Because it's Coca-Cola so we nicknamed it coke. And for some reason we call them buggies, and we do call those things a basket. And I call mine a remote control... haha(:
@thedancer847 :-) That's not what I meant... 'Coca-Cola' is called 'Coke' EVERYWHERE in North America (or, for that matter, any place where English is spoken). I meant in the Texas style, where EVERY carbonated drink (it could be 7-Up).... "Do you want a Coke?" "Yes." "OK. What kaaahnd? Coca-Cola, Mountain Doo [where I come from, we usually say 'dyoo' for "Dew"], Seeyerra Mist?"
