  • I'd do that same thing to Santa anyway. He's not going to come down my chimney.

  • I thought the babysitter was a dog due to that voice.

  • It's that drunken stork again!

  • LMAO @ 4:24 when the cat curses Sylvester out!

  • If you take out the 'stork' metaphor, the closing gag sounds like a wife blaming her husband's genes for their child having Down syndrome or something....

  • 2 people work for the Little Giant Vacuum Cleaner Company.

  • The genius in Looney Tunes is how they also matched music and songs to specific things going on in the cartoons. The song you hear as Sylvester is putting the mouse between slices of bread is "A Cup of Coffee, a Sandwich, and You"...

  • Thumbs up if you don't mind the stork being pissed to the gills but wish they'd layed off with the irritating 'camp hicupping.

  • 4:23, can anyone make out what the cat is cursing at Sylvester???? Also, how come in every cartoon when something Christmassy comes along, the characters have to LOOK at the calendar to see its not December? I always laugh out loud, never gets old! This is one of my favorite Sylvester cartoons, favorite part besides the cat cursing has gotta be "I understands you need a babysitter!"

  • The second half just slays me. The only sylvester cartoon that manages that.

  • I always thought this was one of the cutest cartoons I have ever seen. I showed this to my girlfriend back when we were together and she fell in love with it. Definitely an adorable episode.

  • " A fine thing... I've become the father of a breakfast" >: l

  • Always extremely large firecrackers handy in case of an emergency! When Santa was fired out of that chimney howitzer, I was in tears!

  • CUTE?! HE'S DELICIOUS!! LMFAO!!

When cartoons were actually funny as fuck!!

  • wowzers I haven't seen this one in FOREVER. Nickelodeon used to rerun this one all the time when they'd play Looney Toons. I remember all the cats trying to get into the house disguised as babysitters or Santa Clause.

  • Boo whoo whoo....I work and I slave and what thanks do I get....I wish I was dead...boo whoo whoo. A clear sign Slylvester's wife wants to have sex.

  • @yocuzz100 I know right?!!

  • If Sylvester ate the mouse when he had it in the sandwich, he would have avoided all the trouble.

  • Looove this one, funnier as an adult than when I was a kid, most definitely...

  • haha

  • love that drunk stork, thanks for putting it up !!!

  • the Little Giant Vaccum Cleaner Company of Walla Walla, Washington!

  • they are just like a brooklyn couple....lol

  • Lol! Love this cartoon, but I do wonder... if ALL those cats did get the mouse, did they honestly think they'd ALL be able to eat it and be satisfied?

  • ok who know the one where in the scene theres the mom and tweety and the moms baby in the park, and sylvester dresses up as the baby and ends up getting spanked for eating tweety,,,,i forgot the name,,can someone please help out?

  • This episode strikes me as much darker now than when I was a kid.

  • 1.07 - Sylvester is pretty unkind to his wife. I wish she had a name.

3.36 - I could never think of anything to substitute a safety pin for something edible to fasten that lettuce makeshift diaper.

4.30 - Incomprehenisble what the phony salesman just said

5.24 - Fancy having Christmas in July.

6.24 - You can never trust a stork for the job.

6.36 - The mice don't notice he's a fully grown cat. Sylvester was doing so well avoiding traps and now he gets a humiliating ending.

  • Predictable = Boring.

  • love it!!!

  • Help me out what is the babys name ?

  • @SuperGina21 probably jerry

  • I remember this as a kid

  • Sylvester's wife is kinda cute.

  • lmfao *babble babble* CHEESE!

  • this one is pretty similar to the 1965 Tom and Jerry Short "Love Me, Love my mouse." I haven't seen this one in years, lolz.

  • "just remember the Little Giant Vacuum Cleaner Company from Walla Walla Washington"

  • One of the best Sylvester The Cat episodes.

Fighting the alley cats is pure classic.

    Suffering Sochatash!

  • OMG!!! I love this episode! Thanks for uploading it! It really made my day.

  • SYLVESTER AND THE ALLEY CATS IS TRIPPIN LOL

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE CARTOON EVER BACK WHEN I WAS A CHILD

  • 2:19 ugh, women.

  • @airbeyonder18 3:44 ugh, men!!!

  • @pop41us touche'

  • *Babble babble* Cheese! =-D *nibbles* SOOOOO CUTE!

  • Love that drunk stork !

  • 2:15 AWWW HE'S SO CUTE!

  • lol Cat:merry christmas! ho ho ho! sylvester: *looks at the calendar* *sends him a dynamite*

  • the stork says the word "fuck" @ 6:03

  • @jburr1982 I didn.t hear that I listined twice.

  • I know there was another Looney Tunes cartoon with the stork delivering a baby to the wrong house; even had the same hiccuping "congratulations". Anyone have a clue?

  • @Beadlovable Yeah its called Daffy ducks fantastic island.

  • 4:24 LMFAO! Damn that's funny - that cat BARELY missed getting his tail slammed in the window, and after the window is shut, he's grabbing his tail with that look of "Oh Shit!" Then he cusses out Sylvestor but you can't hear it since the window is now closed. Damn funny.

  • Gotta love the older cartoons !!!

  • one of the finest !!!

  • No dislikes, so far. No wonder. This is true classic, cartoon!

  • This was always one of my favorite cartoons, first seen in Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island by me. LOL

  • Sylvester : A fine thing I've become a father of a brakefeast.

  • I love that look at 3:16

  • This one is a personal favorite of mine. Very funny & has that really sweet moment where Sylvester accepts the mouse as his son. Also, who doesn't love the Drunken Stork???

The ending sucks though. If there was ever a cartoon where Sylvester DESERVED a happy ending, it was this one, but no. Oh well.

  • Thanks for posting the entire cartoon! Mel Blanc is a genius! This cartoon is brilliant! I remember wondering why the stork was hiccuping, now I know only too well...

  • damnit Sylvester, don't take that shit off ur wife... eat that motherfucker!

  • "I understands you need a babysitter!!"

  • ah warner bros, they never get old!

  • I'd like to find that episode where Sylvester goes to the AA for birds and has a hard time resisting Tweety. What was that one called?

  • @madbicyclist Birds Anonymous

  • 4:10 I think I see a lot of Slylvesters in the mob of cats. Only they have black noses.

4:17 I like how that one gray cat is standing on the path, overlooking the entire house.

  • u r a gamblin woman.... wht'll u take? heads or tails?? hahahahaha

  • @rohitmango

'A fine thing...I've become the father of a breakfast!'

  • The music definitely adds to the hilarity of the scene of all the cats sitting in the windows. Still my favorite part after all these years.

  • I wish I was as busy as Sylvester, But no I have to work but it's a living.

  • This is one of my favorites.... esp. the "Pretty Baby" gag when the cats are all plastered to the windows.

  • To this day, I always lol at the vacuum cleaner salesman!

  • Ohhh so THATS what Sylvia looks like...

  • loved it, a classic

  • Cannibals! I think this is the first time I ever heard of Walla Walla, WA.

  • Thanks for posting. This is my favorite Sylvester cartoon. Why is it still not available on DVD?

  • That clip was featured on James Rolfe's 3-part video on cartoons on an original 16mm films where he and Mike are talking about. It happens at the very beginning, there was a WB logo shown from 1940 was from "Elmer's Pet Rabbit" and "Good Night Elmer" and it goes to the opening scene. What a butchered opening title.

  • Any cartoon with a red stick of dynamite is a REAL cartoon.

  • Why do hiccups signify being drunk? I've seen drunk people do a lot of things but never hiccup.

  • @Beadlovable -- "Apes of Wrath" (Freleng, 1959).

@toddsmitts -- I have, but it's usually right before they barf. That, of course, couldn't be shown in the classic era, though I do recall it implied (owing to seasickness or consuming castor oil) in Warner adn MGM shorts.

  • Lol, the stork rocks...

    Congrat...hic...con...hic...congratulations madam...hic...you're a mother...hic, hic hic

Is it me or the stork was completely censored nowadays?

  • So all these Cats get excited over 1 little mouse?

  • i love how they sent the cradle back up, lol

  • Pop i'm Pop Upload

  • One time a drew the baby mouse from this cartoon and she loved it

  • 1:13 lol funny and that was kinda of mean of sylvester to copy his wife like that lol. I luv this ep and I luv sylvester ^_^ !!!

  • That was swell @ 1:48

  • I like it when Sylvester makes the sandwich when he's supposed to be changing a diaper.

  • wow

  • I remember this as a little girl and feeling so affected by it.

  • Really? What'd you love most about this episode? Lemme guess...it was the little mouse wasn't it?

  • yes, and the way they treated it! It just freaked me out as a kid!

  • LOL! The could thing is even Sylvester couldn't resist the cuteness of the mouse...next thing ya' know, he's playing protector against his own fellow felines to save the little guy.

  • I love the cat trying to sneak in and then starts yelling at Sylvester when he gets shut out.

  • Bea Benanderet aka Aunt Katie in Petticoat Junction and the voice of Betty Rubble is also the voice of Mrs. Sylvester in this cartoon

  • fav lines: cute, he's DELICIOUS! a fine thing, i've become a father of a breakfast

  • If I could have alternated the Ending, after Sylvester gets rid of the other Cats, I replace it with...

Sylvester's Wife returns and the twosome with Their Mouse for a son go to a Rural place to hide from the Cats.

  • Love all the cats sittin in the windows!

  • i love this one :) <3 ty for posting it

  • Man, even when Sylvester's the hero, he ends up with the short end of the stick.

  • Boy hiccup has that mouse grown!

Well nothing like this never happened on my side of the family!

I understand you need a babysitter! LOL!

I love how Sylvester was after the mouse called him daddy!

  • the freakin vacuu, salesman from Walla Walla Washington always cracked me up as a kid! lolololololololol Damn, Im 36 and still cracking up over it! lololololol

  • ever since i was little i wondered how sylvester was going to eat the metal safety pin that was holding the lettuce together on the mouse. wouldn't he choke on it??

  • @albertj7 LOL I was just thinking about that!

  • @albertj7 Even as a kid I thought of that too.

  • LOL The Babysitter XD.

  • I must have been about 7 when I first watched this cartoon; I'm almost 23 now and still laugh out loud when I watch it.

It's nice to see Sylvester playing the hero for once; pity he ended up the worst off as usual!

  • Thx

  • My little sister loves the little baby mouse in this! I thought it was funny how Sylvester is trying to protect him from the other felines. He even put a stick of dynamite in the baby rocker when they tried to saw it out from underneath. That was funny!

  • i love this cartoon it's so cute.

  • Ooh, I want a Santa-Cannon for christmas as well!

  • Love this episode.

  • This is a film made by adults for adults - a brilliantly concise and imaginative story. Just wonderful.

  • There is almost nothing in the history of the universe funnier than the cat who represents the "Little Giant Vacuum Cleaner Corporation from Walla Walla Washington"

  • @DaveDeWave That's probably where all the pesky salesman originated. But I think it would've been funnier if he had smashed the carriage too.
