people keep discussing bunneyhopping and whether or not is should be included... the truth of the matter is, it doesn't matter. This game is being designed to be highly, and easily, altered and modded on. The server environment settings/variables that you're accustomed to aren't the extent of the alteration capabilities anymore. The game is designed in Lua, so you're going to be able to alter the properties and modifiers of entities themselves.

Not only should there not be bunnyhopping, you should get fatigued from jumping around like a moron. If there were 2 things that bothered me in NS 1 it was the jumping of marines, spam of medkits and ammo. We don't need to turn it into uber-realism but come on....

Excuse me? I've been an NS bunnyhopper for awhile (out of competitive necessity). I know exactly what I'm talking about. Gameplay is best focused on twitch skills and team tactics, not how well you can tap the space bar in rhythm. This is the never-ending problem NS1 had. It left itself wide open for exploitation, bunny hopping scripts, full-auto pistol scripts, CC blocking, wiggle walking, wall running, and probably a slew of other things I'm not thinking about right now.

@stealthbeast The gameplay is EVEN better and NON REPETITIVE if you have interesting movement tricks. AND THE WAY YOU BHOP IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF IT, your bhop skill is just bad. I surely wasted more hours (and missed hours of school) to play NS in my life than you so I really know what I'm talking about. It's why NS is my all time fav game and I'm NEVER bored of it.

Play some more, PLAY COMPETITIVE. Ask to any Pro Player if he wants to remove bhop roflmao.......

Hey... I'm not the best of the best bhopper, but I feel I can hold my own. You don't know what I am and aren't capable of.

The bottom line is, more and more modern competitive games are going out of their way to cut bhopping and other exploits out.

Why? Well.. Because a game like this is supposed to revolve around teamwork, twitch-skills, and stradegy, not mastering exploits (See Gunz: The Duel, the ultimate example of exploits radically altering a game... not that Gunz is a bad game).

bunnyhopping in half-life games is of course bug abuse. The fact that nearly everyone is doing it, is because everyone else is doing it. Implanting it on purpose in NS2 engine is a very very bad idea.
