wow, back when you could get front row for a concert by getting to the venue early and waiting... not paying $500+ for "VIP" packages. this show needs to be on DVD!!!
@alphakub I got front row seats in front of Rick in 05 with my family (my kids first concert) at our fair for 15.00. But yeah, I paid 75 to see RUSH (money well spent.)
A really good song, a great album, an amazing band, but a bad quality for this video, it looks like to be shot by a drunk cameraman !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man what an awesome show!! I was at Chicagofest for this performance! When it was broadcast on Soundstage, I was able to record it to a videotape and I watched it constantly until the tape finally degraded and broke, after about 4 years. Does anyone know if this available on dvd anywhere? I'd love to have this concert in it's complete form again!
They were definitely on top of their "Game" on this one. One of many killer songs from one of the best Illinois bands ever. Great clip, I wasn`t at this show but was at some like it and by the grace of God I never got trampled to death but can remember a lot of the mad scrambles for the best seats. And then you didn`t dare leave to get a drink as you wouldn`t have that spot when you returned.
The band claims Jon Brant came to rehearsal and while Pete was making some food in Rick's kitchen, Jon jammed with them and he was in (insinuating Pete was fired). Pete says he brought Jon to the band so he could quit to focus on guitar (his main instrument). I think the truth is maybe a mix of both. I know they wanted him out, and he thought he could do well on his own. Bad move for Pete, good for CT, I guess, I liked Pete in the band, he was really, really good. I wish he'd have stayed.
Saw this on TV when it happened and recorded it on a BETA tape. One of the most awesome shows! Pete is great on this too, by the way. Wonder why he didn't stay in the band?
Blistering performance. Love the intro footage, showing fans and the band coming on stage! Heard this song was originally called, 'Can't Stop The Music' but they changed it because another song by that title was out, at the time.

This song seriously rocks, and still sounds so fresh that it is unbelievable & frankly scary that it's being performed (OMG!) about 30 years ago.
