  • Among the rest, the BO 105 has been also developed as an aerobatics helicopter and also has a licensing as such.

  • German Engineering

  • Wir haben als wir noch kinder waren in wietzenbruch über den zaun von der immelmann kaserene geschaut und konnten unsere Münder nicht mehr zubekommen ...bekomme immer noch gänsehaut ...staune heute immer noch

  • Great Flying love to go co pilot with Him ;-)

  • @Bladerunnerinauz

to bad he's dead, doing just this,

  • @staslig As far as I know he`s still alive, Ziggy Herman died in a BO105 display accident.

  • You don't exactly get to pick up the pieces and try again like with my Raptor 50 lol much respect, if he's still doing this....

  • Great to see this I still have the same on VHS tape taken at Cranfield watching the Freestyle think I also have the Enstrom doing the emergency landing will have to convert to the PC and post my footage

    Thanks for posting your video

  • La baffe !

This pilot really is amazing !

  • @neavissa2004 Almost every naval helicopter can apply negative pitch - in order to push the helicopter onto the deck of the vessel ...

  • Ah,good old Charly Zimmermann, the hero of my teenage days;-) Those were the days when the german armed forces had enough money to do cool things like this. Today you will never see something like that again...........too sad!

  • i like the sounds of the blades very cool :)

  • The BO 105 can apply a little bit negative pitch but not enough to hover inverted.

I wonder when the first non-RC heli is capable of this :)

RC helis are set up to have same positive as negative pitch.

  • Does anybody know, can the BO-105 apply negative pitch to the same extent as positive (or at all)?

  • @chrissn07 Negative pitch is as far as i know not possible at all in any helicopters

  • Does anybody know, can the BO-105 apply negative pitch to the same extent as positive (or at all)?

  • @chrissn07 yes it can!!

  • He is the top pilot for that helicopter! Seen him live several times in the late 80´s, no Eurocopter or Apache can do this without this pilot...Karl (Charly) Zimmermann...wow

  • DobermansRock - why Rest In Peace? Are you confusing Karl with Siggy, who crashed when filming in America? Karl was certainly alive last year when my brother met him at the Cross-Channel Tunnel Entry near Folkestone.

  • You can fly this heli on FlightGear.. it's just amazing..

  • @DiogoS90 : and the flight-model of the Bo105 in FlightGear is based on exact flight measurements datas by NASA and already tested by two real heli-pilots. At least one is a Bo105-pilot. So the one in FlightGear is behaving 99% like the real one!

  • A German helicopter and a German pilot

    a perfect mix!!

@xxXXFreakXXxx312 weil sich um eine fremde Achse zu drehen, dumm wäre!! XD

  • great!

A german helicopter is one of the best stunt-helicopters in the world!

  • is ist real(ist das echt)?

  • @Saniboy10832 Nein, der Clip wurde 1986 mit photoshop gemacht unter DOS. Spass beiseite.

  • Rest In Peace Charlie.

  • @DobermansRock :

Why? He is still alive! You mean a different pilot....

  • @HHS81 Zimmerman balled one up and killed himself. I may have something crossed up though.

  • @DobermansRock :

Believe me- he is still alive. You mistaken him with Siggy Hoffman, former testpilot at MBB, who indeed crashed when flilming.

  • @HHS81 Man your right. I got em confused. Good looking out, sorry for the mix up.

  • and i like the sound of the bo 105 at all...

  • warum drehen die sich immer um die eigene achse???

  • @xxXXFreakXXxx312

    um dich zu ärgern.

  • can you imagine how exhausting that would become after like the 10th flip!

  • that dude can FLY

  • Karl was such a great Pilot!

Rainer Wilke is good, too =)

  • Karl is still alive. So I guess, even if he isn't flying military anymore due to his age, he still IS a brilliant pilot :-)

  • AMAZING Pilot!! R.I.P. Karl. Truly the best there ever was in helicopters!!

  • it´s nor charly who died in an accident with a bo105 it was siegfried´´ziggy´´ hoffmann

  • ...and what's the manoevre he pulls at 2:30???!!! Looks like some kind of 3/4 bunt!

At 3:10 its not an 'Immelmann' but a 'Zimmermann' !!!

  • Incredible!!! I'm not surprised by many things but this vid. had my full attention!

I keep losing count of the number of times he loops and rolls the Bolkow!!

  • i love this helikopter

  • Amazing what a helicopter can do with a Top Pilot! seated in it - impressive - totally! Thank you!

  • @Mandy1empyrean

    not a helicopter just a bo 105

  • Impressive
