Im as big a Wanderlei fan as they get, and I can say that Liddell fought the best he ever has in his MMA career and legitimately beat Wandy. But Wanderlei is still a far superior warrior to Liddell. He has had way more battles than chuck, not to mention his 5 year- 17 consecutive wins reign in PRIDE as middleweight champ. Thats the longest reigning champion in all of MMA history. I have lots of respect for Chuck for sure though. :D

i love chuck butw anderlei should have won.chuck got dropped twice, and chuck only won because of his take downs, like all wrestlers do. the stand up was great, wanderleis reach is a lot shorter than chucks, and people should give wanderlei credit that he STILL outstruck chuck. the judges give WAY too many points for takedowns, even tho most wrestlers cant HOLD them down.wanderlei kept getting right back up. if it was in pride, wanderlei would have stomped his ass when chuck got dropped.

@lLoRDBrY nope not joking. wrestlers tend to win because when they are in trouble they just take the person down to get points even if the person pops right back up. the ufc judges put way too many points on takedowns. it should be takedowns and what u can do on the ground. thats what they did in pride. take downs were nothing unless u could do something along with it.

@xKillerWandx I totally agree with you but did chuck take him down the whole fight? clearly not... he took him down once the entire fight and it wasn't even during an exchange. Chuck had Wandy hurt a few times in the fight and lit him up with several combinations... credit to Wandy for his chin and heart, but Chuck still destroyed him in the 2 rounds he won. Wandy on the other hand won a round that wasn't really close but he never did anything very significant except land a few decent hooks.

The other was simply a slip. Are you stupid or cant you read properly? Chuck took him down ONCE, there ive put the word ''once'' in capitals so you can identify and understand it better, and they were not even until any takedown.

There is NO WAY Wandy won that fight regardless of how many times he dropped Chuck, wether it was once or twice (It was once because the first one was more of a closed-fist push to the CHEST by Wandy/slip by Chuck when he tried to throw a kick, and dont mistake this as me backtracking because he didnt drop him). Either way your main argument is just idiotic, there was ONE takedown in 15 minutes of action.

i was sad when chuck liddell got knocked out by franklin, because of getting knocked out by rashad and shogun in a row. never liked him, but i felt bad for him. but everytime i watch this, i just laugh at him. i dont care if liddell beat wandy, it was a great fight and chuck basically got his ass kicked. Im as big a Wanderlei fan as they get, and I can say that Liddell fought the best he ever has in his MMA career and legitimately beat Wandy. But Wanderlei is still a far superior warrior to Liddell. He has had way more battles than chuck, not to mention his 5 year- 17 consecutive wins reign in PRIDE as middleweight champ. Thats the longest reigning champion in all of MMA history. I have lots of respect for Chuck for sure though. :D
