  • Such service. May many blessings come your way for your diligence.

  • The guy he's demonstrating his moves on doesn't seem to have ever been hit in his life or is going down on purpose.

  • kurww jaki hinczyk xd

  • to carry a gun is much easier !

  • Very Cool Art really! The Movements are awsome but I was wondering...What´s the point of Pushing instead of Punching?

  • @JorgeEFM ....maybe more damage to the body....solar plexus....but i don´t know really...

  • @JorgeEFM .....it looks much cooler if you push somebody 5meters away.....then punch

  • @JorgeEFM Actually its because Self Defense is not about damaging your opponent. Its about warding damage from yourself and whoever you want to protect

  • Adidas Monk !!

  • Of course there are alot of douch bags in MMA. They may be strong and juiced up but look what comes with it. They never have the mental discipline to keep their ego in check. Power corrupts if you let it.

  • That guy really knows what he’s doing! I love watching martial arts and can’t get enough of the great action movies that are coming out these days. I especially enjoy the Kung Fu movies of Jackie Chan and Jet Li and that’s why I was so excited when “Films of Fury” finally came out on demand with some great scenes from some of the best action movies around. It has some great martial arts sequences and movie clips! bitly .com/uBGPir

  • I love light wind just casually rippling through his uniform :P

  • Im sure he is strong and fast. But how much fighting experience does he have. Static drills and just drills does not make you a better a fighter. Having a student attack you in a set drill and just turn into a crash test dummy can make anyone look good. Do you do any form of sparring? Real fight training needs movement, energy and timing. You cannot drill these aspects.

  • This guy needs to be a Tai-Chai (waterbender) consultant on the new Avatar series along with Sifu Kisu :)

  • DIS IS LOOKING GOOD FOR ME

  • I want to learn more about TAI CHI... like its fighting style,,, defensive style....

  • wat if u fight sum one else who knows tai chi nd is not just sum thug

  • 0:47 "wiiii"

  • They is lot fake Tai chi at my country, and they're a bunch of old person learning the fake tai chi o0o

  • When you take a Tai Chi class, you are unconsciously deciding that it does work. Same as faith healing

  • thanks master

  • yas ten longo [iminent=nLiSzdsRf]

  • This is hysterical! Thanks for the upload!

  • hebat

  • martial arts is expressing youre self in a way of various movement

  • @REALITEITxxBITCH Martial art is the art of war (that is the meaning of the word "martial", like martial law).

  • Chinese music in a golf course

  • i think that i have a chi power because one day i mad a holl in my room dor that mad from strong wood just with a ponsh and my hand didn't get hurt

  • As you get older, and more practiced, the student will understand the internal power much more. It takes time to develop. Younger people grasp the external components easier than the internal. The style I practice (Pak Hok Pai) starts external and, with skill, moves internal then, after a while, you realize they are not disconnected. Good to see Tai Chi focused to combat.

  • I just has my 4th lesson in Tai Chi and my my 70 year old teach was showing me a simple pushing move and I could really feel the force in it. No,Tai chi is not just for old people, but it is about balance and control of your body.

  • Tai chi is for old people

  • kamehameahaaaaa xd

  • must do this when im older up in the hills with the nice breeze blowing just like in the films :)

  • I have a few doubts in this as a combat martial art, but as I'm sure it has a credibility of its own, can someone tell me what the principles are behind combat tai chi? I'm just curious, and I feel like I'm missing something.

  • @Unitzero25 using your opponent chi against him but its really let him attack first then hit on a right spot or lock a joint.

  • in my opinion this isnt tai chi =)) look at this moment when he us his arm to block the kick

  • @wolflix WRONG!!! this is a professional martial arts teacher so he knows what he's doing

  • I practice tai chi, and i´m a little bit familiarized with tai chi chuan tecniques, i learned this for my art making purposes so I almost never use it for personal defense but trust me... it works. Saludos desde Colombia ^^

  • Oh God.... these MMA goons here in this forum. You don't even know what you're looking at. Keep rolling around on the floor with sweaty guys in shorts... that's what you guys seem to like best.

  • @chisaoboy Have some respect, yeah there are a lot of douchbags in mma probably the majority ....but the mma art itself brings something that is close to the martial arts with one exception ---reallity and belive me real is one thing and looking cool is the other , a real fight is something completly different again...And yes a lot of martial arts are fake thats te hard truth , it may work wiith someone that is in no shape and super slow....but go against a simple boxer and the fun will end...

  • All that shit won't work in mixed martial art, trust me I know.

  • @Spazjer13 Fuck mma, you're missing the point entirely you armchair martial artist

  • The most epic part is 0:07... The guy's like, "Get off me!"

  • this is not real Tai Chi. I think it's most like american combat style.

  • @eternalleo there are dozens of versions of tai chi

  • master Wong is the real deal.

  • Is he using fa jing? I have a hard time telling, but it seems like his movements are a little too rigid for that. But I'm still new to taiji, so I could be wrong. Also, qi is more than how the ancient chinese explained physics. If anything, it's closer to bioelectromagnetic energy. Yang Jwing-Ming explains the concept very clearly, so see if you can find an explanation by him. Also, if qi was just physics principles, then it would never have become the basis for Chinese medicine.

  • he's got his oown style - the mix of lots other ones

  • 125 trolls:( Don't hate because he can beat you.

  • hm he seems to have many shades to his personality.

  • COMBAT TAI CHI@ANNUNAKIS@2012:)ENJOY

  • POWER!!!

  • Truth is if your a high level martial artist, most people won't want to fight with you and if they do, one can ward it off with a glance, a change in body position, a step or simply with their good energy exuding such compassionate energy that even someone who wants to fight will be transformed. Now that's art. :0) lol

  • Ok random question. But when you fully develop a powerful enough Chi Energy, can you use it to make an attack like a Hadouken from Street Fighter?

  • @KenDragoon25 waahahahaha

  • @KenDragoon25 sure. and after that you become chuck norris

  • @KenDragoon25

obviously you are trolling... but to try to tackle your question Chi is ever present and an strong internal force. One would need to train for many years to gain such control. Good luck!

  • @KenDragoon25 Chi is how they explained f=ma in ancient china, Tai chi is nearly 2000 years old, so people have had a long time to think about structure. The movement or the action via the hand is an extension of your structure when fighting, the body is a whole unit when fighting. F=ma from the ground from you towards the centre of gravity of the opponent. If F=ma is > greater than F=ma of your opponent then your opponent will go flying from one end of the room to the next. force=massxacceler.

  • when you watch these videos look at the guy getting hit and not Mr Wongs strikes, perhaps you might spot what I did just now...

  • Chai Tea?

  • @TheMartialartsJedi

Yeah, it obviously has some benefits.

As im sure most martial arts do.

    Each one offers something different.

  • tai ji fantasy

  • why are there so many dislikes? D: this is like the most popular chinese kung fu of all times.

  • Is that Master Wong?

  • @Sirus362 Yes it is Master Wong. Hes also a Sifu in Wing Chun.

  • very nice! ...and very hard to practice! ...i just started last month, totally noob, but like it very much!

  • i heard tai chi cant be taught in dojos because its dangerous?

  • @arthurnigga oh no, it shouldnt be ): it should make u more healthy. :x

  • @arthurnigga Not true. Compared to other 'deadly' arts out there at least. Most places that teach Tai Chi these days don't even teach the martial applications sadly. If you're lucky enough to find a master that does teach its applications, it will still take quite a while to develop such skills to be useful in actual combat. Although fortunately, I have a master in my area that teaches Chen style Tai Chi and I will admit it is a very brutal art if used correctly and practically.

  • @OmegaOwA man i wish i can learn the art its so sick its good fro the mind and soul its martial art form is sick to watch and it dangerous

  • @arthurnigga try ymaa.com

  • @arthurnigga

    You got punked!

  • wow it really looks like aribending which i am fond of :D

  • look ever bevore you make chi consentration are you near by a gaspipeline ;) so you know is one in your house let it be.

  • WoW! is Real!! I tough ..this was another joke like "tai chi masters battle" :P WOW!!!

  • i got cut by a hooker, i'v been in crazy street fights, 3 on one, i had my dog repelent and retractable baton, which doesn't do shit, better off using ur fists. i'v stabbed a guy to, i'm currently being charged with aggrevated assault. i'v seen alot of fake demonstrations, i'v seen these armchair warriors that teach at the mall dojo make some stupid demonstration. they would be helpless around my part of town. helpless. this though. i think this guy has some dicipline. i wouldn't fuckrnd.

  • @TwistToy

You shouldn't fuckrnd with people in the first place. Agression in not the answer, it's the problem.

  • @TwistToy

    Agreed.

I dont usually fool for this kind of crap, but ive seen this guy spar and he looks legit.

I wouldnt like to fuck around with him either.

  • wushu correography

  • WHY can't this guy be this calm and cool when he does the Wing Chun videos?

He sounds like a thug when he does the wing chun stuff.

  • @KiCreativeStudio that is EXACTLY what I thought lol

  • That is a nice, soft lush, green lawn...

  • It looks very effective

  • buh almost all the techniques are about pushing the opponent you need to finish your opponent!!

  • @BORICUENSIS

    exactly!

the thing is, judging from this guys sparring videos, this guy can fight, so im not quite sure why he practices this art.

maybe its more of a mind/spiritual thing?

I have no idea, but it must be good for something.

  • @SkemeKOS

What he's doing is harnessing and projecting energy and power you can see this quite well . tai Chi is called an internal art for several reasons, but mainly because all of the dynamic is taking place in the body and isn't seen (or revealed). The Tai Chi form has come from martial practice. Most of the movements in it have martial use. IMHO I think that martial use helps the form and vice versa, ChengMan Ching said that he could defend himself while meditating(allegedly)

  • @petereplica Is that so? Where did Cheng say this then?

  • @Blackeyedog23

I suspect this is a rhetorical.

    1) I used the word (allegedly def. purportedly, reportedly, stated not proved)

    2) In his book "There are No Secrets: Professor Cheng Man-ching and his tai chi chaun" Wolfe Lowenthal

quotes CMC (I paraphrase) " The difference between yoga and Tcc is that in yoga if someone tries to knock you off your cushion there is nothing you can do about it"

You will have to look up the word 'paraphrase' yourself.

  • lol new age of ...

  • can someone tell me what is this beautifull soundtrack?

  • Now there's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

  • haha iam the Avatar and can bend everything !!!

  • I am suspicious of any one who presents this sort of thing to the public in order to pay the rent. Do they take responsibility for the danger that poses to my friends in law enforcement? Guys in prison have nothing better to do than practice how to take down a cop with a blitz attack. Not his problem, right? He kept his lights on. Look at this dude's face. Does he look like a nice man? I have seen better practioners too.

  • @BadHalfPenney why? people have to make a living and this is his way, teaching martial arts for self defence, whats wrong with that? wtf does a persons looks have to do with anything u tool.

  • @tuplag "why? people have to make a living and this is his way, teaching martial arts for self defence, whats wrong with that?" Let's forget that last sentence. Martial artists who train people for a living (irresponsibly) are bad teachers. Sometimes, they train guys who go to prison where they have nothing better to do than lift weights and practice killing cops. The UFC guys are the worst. They aren't ultimate because both guys walk away. Seals, Force Recon Marines, and Delta Force are UFC.

  • @BadHalfPenney Spec Op warriors are the ONLY crew in the US military that trains hand to hand combat. I know because I have trained with them, and cops, though I am neither. Most "regular" forces rely on firearms alone. We do both. Cops don't have time to learn h2h. True masters are responsible for their students, and will train no one for money alone. I am campaigning to make guys like this as responsible for deaths caused by their students as dealers of any weapon are: accessories to murder.

  • @BadHalfPenney I have nothing more to say on this matter. I am too busy to argue. Anyone who deserves my respect will understand my point. Anyone who doesn't agree can bunk with one of those dudes in prison for all I care. Just pray he is not a pederast, but that is usually the price of losing a fight to one in jail, or death, just to prove who is the boss and who is the bitch. Go there if you want.

  • omg its so Bad

  • now thats some bad ass tai chi :D

  • so yang is only for defense, and yin is for offense

  • OMFG....i wanna be a damn fukin airbender now damnit!

[jus watched the movie today ...in school<3]

    lol

  • @tokyocrystal waterbending is the best tho

  • @tokyocrystal then become a cgi character or play martial artist in your dreams cuz that is the only place you can do that nonsense.

  • either karate do yes, or karate do no. karate do, guess so? Squish. just like grape.

  • @Simon0 HAHA!!!! Just like Miagi said!!!! Good thing I remember that movie - hey, it beats the new karate kid.

  • @sonofthedestroyer i knew a tai chi teacher once. he got me really excited just cause of the way i saw him walk through a door. seems wierd i know but it was really inspiring and awesome. some kind of different energy. good stuff. it was the bearing of his body.

  • @Simon0

Why is that weird? It's called karma.

  • @JohnofNub you mean your karma gives you a special aura? past karma you mean?

  • @Simon0 Now you are talking!!!

  • @BadHalfPenney Yeah baby!

  • this looks just like my grandma and her friends exercising in the morning

  • @chamman1998

Show some respect dude, this guy could kick your ass with one hand.

  • Comment removed

  • @chamman1998 You mean your grandmother could kick your ass??? LOL!

  • @guitarsehole Damn right she could. Yours too. And she is even dead now!

  • @chamman1998 outstanding!!!

  • Wushu shit...

  • Very nice martial art,peacefully.:)

  • the last airbender all grown up

  • were the f*ck is the spoon?

  • @Argonoth1 there is no spoon

  • @Balor22 wushu just means martial arts. You know that right? Kungfu can be wushu, but it can also be music, dance, or any other discipline acquired through long practice and determination. There is no substitute for those, no pill or 6 week course by PayPal to take the place of you putting down your game pad, getting off your lazy ass and working at something for a long, long time.

  • @BadHalfPenney "There is no substitute for those, no pill or 6 week course by PayPal to take the place of you putting down your game pad, getting off your lazy ass and working at something for a long, long time." -- BadHalfPenney

I'm stealing this quote...lol. It's too true for words. Like my coach used to say, there is no substitute for hard work.

  • @BadHalfPenney wushu is kung fu, but its spoke in a formal way

  • Katara =D

  • @MrReymax It's water bending dude..

  • @MrReymax tai chi was the martial art used for water bending in Avatar

  • @MrReymax thats based on ba gua

  • @MrReymax no its waterbending

  • @MrReymax tsk tsk! Tai Chi is Water Bending! :D

  • @MrReymax you mean waterbending

  • @MrReymax best comment in youtube history

  • @MrReymax Naah, airbending is Baguazhang not Tai Chi. Waterbending is Tai Chi.

  • @MrReymax actually they used Tai Chi as reference for Waterbender ;D

  • @MrReymax This is waterbending, actually. It's great that the show made a point to show the REAL martial arts styles.

  • My friend's dad is a Tai Chi master. My friend was ordered by his father to kick him as hard as possible. And the force of the kick sent my friend flying instead of his dad. Can somebody please tell me how this works?

  • @oOSynysterOo There's the Physics answer and there's the Eastern Philosophy answer. In terms of Physics, when you attack someone you use force, at the same time there are other forces working against you, ie. Equal and Opposite Reaction. So what Tai Chi does is it follows through your attack, redirecting that attack against you. As your own force + that of the tai chi master is so great it throws you out of balance.

In Eastern philosophy Chi is used. Chi is a life energy in your body.

  • @TheCharonTFM Hello there, I think you are mistaking the term of "chi". In the West, I think the term "chi" means the energy force in all living things. However, the "chi" in the Western romanization of "tai chi" is not the same as "chi" of energy force.

太極 - This is the so-called Tai Chi

氣 - This is the "chi" or energy force that you mentioned.

The concept of Tai Chi is based on the principles of yin-yang symbol, the balance of opposites. That is the "physics" of the East.

  • @TaiGekTou Thank you.

A cookie for makeing an awsome comment!

  • @venfromnc Thank you... I like raisin cookies.

  • @oOSynysterOo redirection of force

  • @oOSynysterOo TaiGekTou is correct. I prefer to use the pinyin spelling "Taijichuan" just for that reason: e.g. to avoid confusion with people thinking it has to do with "Chi". As for how it work, it's isn't exactly newtonian physics, but like most internal arts, Taiji uses internal "structure". By lining up your muscles, bones, and momentum internally, you are strong by maintaining your structure.

  • @sylkwormm

The correct pinyin spelling is Tai Ji Quan.

  • @sylkwormm so you say you dont not use chi in tai chi? lol thats where the power comes from in most kung fus and all internal styles

  • @oOSynysterOo When an opponent kicks or strikes you, most of the time they are actually quite weak (e.g. off-balance, no structure) except for the moment of impact. So if you realize this and you practice enough, you exploit that weakness and attack slightly before or after the moment of impact while simultaneously avoiding the strike.

  • @trakomako Yes Tai Chi ( actually Taiji or Taijiquan ) He is doing a couple of different styles.

  • imba

  • Tai Ji Quan = Supreme Ultimate Boxing

  • He’s not really chinese, he just uses sticky tape to make his eyes like that and he shaved his head

  • Wow!! I want to learn it!!!

  • I would be more convinced of videos like this if the 'attacker' in the scenario actually acted like it was a real fight... They always throw slow punches and don't use any momentum.

  • @Richyroooooo it doesn´t matter if punches go fast or with momentum. Tai chi its about to get empty the opponent- alot of fighters , that start to train tai chi its very difficult for them to get used to this kind of technique.u know tai chi is the ultimate boxin

  • do you have battletoads?

  • dunb fukkkk wats the use of learning martial art wen u won't use it .............stupid oldskool philosophy

  • @shabutch If you ever watched hero (jet li movie), the highest level of a swordsman (well more a puguilist sword martial artist in that movie), is to have no sword in your hand, no sword in your heart, and his arms open, to accept peace love and harmony in the world.

  • this is bullshit. obviously choreographed. you can even see Master Wong anticipate attacks by moving into strike-specific defense on some of these.

  • taïchi has some story with the first karate master.

taïchi is really strong.. can't hit even a time..

  • the last move wtf is deadly... what happened to the peace and just pushing the opponent away?... the tai chi dood couldn't keep his cool and got pissed off at the other guy keep coming back and decided to pack him up =.=

  • @hanwenzero hHAHAHAHA deadly omg! hahaha -_- that cant even brake a bone...

  • master wong is so cool. :)

  • the applications shown are completely external

  • the best part of Taiji is using your enemy's strength against themself

  • @111E982a

    isnt that aikido

  • @thecobra9999

Taiji came up with it first.

  • @thecobra9999 there are many arts that use the momentum of the attacker against them, they are simply called soft arts, like shaolin, tai chi, baguazhang, tsoi li ho, aikido, jujutsu, ninjutsu, san soo

  • @kapoof2 san soo or sanda is not real kung fu and doesnt use any internal strengths, its purely Chinese combat "sport"

  • @MDNSBS i dont do sanshou* or sanda, those are different from my art. sanshou and sanda is the sportfighting version of my art, tsoi li ho fut hung kung fu san soo
