No, to Daniel's comments about the high level of communication on the forums.

DICE was given an order to stop talking on the UK Forum just before Gordon Van Dyke left

and they fled to Failbook and Twatter because people's reaction to the lies and faked videos

and screens for BC2 and it being an obvious console port.

Released screens and video were processed with "super AA" and NOT realtime. GVD finally admited it.

The US forum is a complete ghosttown.

Several of the BC2 videos were not real time. They used third party or in house software to apply "Super antialiasing" . Screenshots were also treated with super AA.

This was admitted by DICE on their UK forum.

Crytek also admited to faking videos using custom built levels not available in the retail game.

IE... Korean soldier being thrown through a wall leaving a hole.

PC should always be top priority for dev's. Thats how we console guys get the best quality, because it has to live up to PC. Also it will keep pushing the console market to strive for perfection and maybe get them to make consoles that actually stand up to PC's and aren't already surpassed by PC upon release

I dont have super computer, i still can run bfbc2 the way i find it good. My fps goes (depending whats happening and how much i can see) from 20 - 130, but usually its around 30 - 40. I cba doing all the work to get my specs here, its just a 700euro comp with dual core, GT220 or something like that with W7.

DICE had to make a choice, either state-of-the-art video quality and network intensive gameplay (eg. many dynamic objects) or maximum scale. They went with the former because it's more visually impressive and hence more marketable to the people who judge games primarily on appearance.

Perhaps if gamers were generally less shallow they would of been confident about prioritizing the player numbers to enable a larger and deeper battle experience.

BF2 mods have recently reached 128 players.

Sony & Microsoft LIMIT the amount of data that can be transferred to and from the console. 64 players will just end with too much information that cant be passed. It will result in cases like this: Person A destroys a building. The data needs to be sent to the other 63 people. Now multiple the destruction of that house with everything else going on. Its just too much data. Sony & Microsoft does not allow it.

map pack 7 and vietnam was a major fail cause they waited way too long to release. also the patch, the only one ever made, was just the same. they slacked big time for such a good game. and after listening to zhinto, it just reaffirmed all of it. in the end they paid for it by giving it to us free. all in all, the timing of the updates was piss poor. i hope it wont be like this for bf3. much props to you and colin but zhinto really didnt say much.

I'll bet my soul bfbc2 will not be played in 2-3 years. Why? it's not competitive. It's nearly impossible to play it competitive. it's a game made for pubwhores. It's the clanwars, league's and cup's that keeps a game alive. Battlefield 2 even had a nations cup no later then 2010(equivalent to world championship) 5 years after it's release. I still play bc2 public thou. And sadly it's the pub-stile games that sell. =/

Price of a gaming pc that would run bf3 decently would be around $600-1 000. $600 pc would run it with a lower resolution 1024x768 / 1280x1024 and low/medium graphics settings while 1k pc would most likely run it all maxed up. I'd say that most of the pc gamers are casual but there are still an impressive amount of hc gamers.

@SHCP2010 Decent gaming pc isn't much more than $1000. You don't need to get one of those tho. If you have a semi new pc (vista, 7) then just get yourself a gtx 260 for about $100 and 2gb's of ram ($20). Youll be fine for all the games for the next three years or so at that point.
