Red dot are for the marksmanship challanged. (shooters that cannot shoot without them).. IMO an operator should be proficient with iron sites and you will never need batteries. Plus you will have a much better field of view, guaranteed.!! Granted Red dots are tacticool, and yes the military uses them, however they dont train you basic marsksmanship with anything other than iron sites.I shoot out to 200-300 yards with my M4 with Iron sites and keep consistant body mass shots with a battle rifle

Um im not a weapon specialist yet but all weapons were not built around the ak, if anything assault rifles incorperated fundamentals from the father of ARs- the stg44 but ya dude german makes great fire arms, are they the best? @sketchingpencils if you have electronic sights that run on AA batteries and the batteries happen to die in the fight, you can at least replace the batteries on the sight instead of having to run your iron sights for the rest of the day. also, if you have a flashlight thats mounted (or unmounted for that matter) you could use that battery to replace the batteries for the flashlight. you can pretty much use it for anyhting. the feature is purely utilitarian and multipurpose.

I paid 900 ish for my Bushmaster AR-15.Can you honestly tell me that this gun is worth more than the value of two complete AR's basic with accessories? My perceived monetary value of this weapon is roughly $1800-2000.. but not 2600 or 3200. And that's mostly because of the inclusions that I would have to buy after market. say 2000 for the refined features, but I stop there. Let me know when it comes down to a reasonable price.

@Last1Left2324 Which isn't true since they seem to malfunction a lot when people brek them in. I found out a lot of people had really loose pins and the extractor wasn't going back enough causing the weapon to stove pipe. Also it seems to over heat even after just firing 34 shots.
