Boy these guy's were real pro's, they just made it look easy. I couldn't possibly have kept a straight face during scenes like this. Classic humour at it's best.
You gotta love how this is the second time Hochstetter un-rolled that poster. The other time I can remember was in the episode Sergeant Schultz Meets Mata Hari. He should have been in way more HH episodes.
In addition to being an hilarious comedian, Larry H. was also a supremely kind and decent man. I wrote him a fan letter around the time HH was first on TV Land ('97-'98) and he responded with a gracious letter of his own that I still treasure to this day. A lovely human being.
@DameEdithDevine. Your husband was truly a great character on this show. His character was one I always enjoyed immensely. These posts keep his memory....and our enjoyment of this series alive. Thank you very much
This is such a beautiful print, what a pleasure to view. My late husband, Howard Caine, is memorialized in this excellent scene. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the time and effort involved in posting this. Sincerely, Valerie (Caine) Elson.
@DameEdithDivine Thank you for the kind comment. I am just a Hogan's Heroes fan who wanted to share some of my favorite clips and never suspected to get a comment from someone who knew anyone involved with the show. Your husband was a treasure and was absolutely wonderful as Hochstetter.
@DameEdithDivine Your husband was by far my favorite secondary character. He always brought a laugh! "Who is dis man?!?" oh goodness. He was wonderful :)
Wow! Your husband was just fantastic! He was so unappreciated & underrated and deserved far better roles than he got, though the ones he did he always did superbly, like Hochstetter, an appropriate name (=highstepper). It's impossible to believe it's been so long ago only Dawson/Newkirk and Clary/LeBeau are the only members of the original cast still alive.
All of the HH cast were great.

klink should be a luftwaffe general i dare say he would be mighty sexy in the uniform. i never thought he was bad he was just horribly misunderstood.
carter looks soo hott as luftwaffe general.! what a great actor!

@kikyosan543 Only one thing wrong with making Klink a general—he might go on to bigger things, leaving Hogan with a legitimate kommandant.

Larry H was under-rated. Didn't get as many lines of key roles, but nailed the ones he got.

@JoeU54 I agree! Larry was great, one of a kind!

Lol!!! Carter makes a fantastic general. :) His little snicker is hilarious, and his condescending manner is absolutely wonderful.
