I know exactly where I was when this aired on our local PBS station. Wow, this brings back memories. Maynard played at Idora Park a now gone amusement park in Youngstown where I live every summer and I saw this live few times.Imho this was one of his best bands ever.Classic M.F. at his best..

Great vid, from the '70s MF archive!
Looks like the same band that did the "Live at The Top" concert, that's posted on Y/T (Lynn Nicholson's leading the trumpets back there again).
This happens to be my favorite MF tune - The "Bad Man" takes yet another hot flute solo, just as on MF 4&5, after Andy Mac's sop solo.
