See here's the irony you speak of so well, Mecca and Madinah are barren desert waste land for you non muslims, for us it is our religion. Why would a christian or jew or anyone else wish to be in such a hot, barren desert if not were to spread mischeif and not allow the muslim gracefully follow his beelif and submission to Allah - the lord of the world and all dominion. On the other hand Jerusalem is a muslim holy city, a city of God. The name Jerusalem was there before prophet Ibrahim/Abraham (AS) May Allah be Pleased With HIm and Peace and Blessings be upon him. The name broken down means - Jar/Yar ul Shalom i.e. city of peace, Allah (SWT) made the first covenant with the beleiver community.

do you see Yar ul shalom the same as Dar ul salam in Arabic.  Yar ul shalom is now a palce of war because those who are intolerant of Allah (SWT) decree and message and do not follow the messengers and prophets create mischeif. Why Macca and Madinah is NOW Yar ul Shalom or Dar ul salam; why we deny the mischeif makers entrance in this region.

Als3ai, I appreciate what your trying to do but the isreali government has already made plans to erect "the thrid temple" they already have the interior and archtectrial plans laid out!
