  • put an omlete in an egg

  • What's next...? How to make poop in a bag??

  • great omelet infused with plastic...i'd rather be less lazy and use a damn pan.....jus sayin

  • step 1:cook an omelet

    step 2: get a bag

step 3: put the omelet into the bag

do you know howcast do this

  • this is the most ridiculous video on all of youtube. not only is this 1,000 times more difficult than making a real omelet, but this doesn't even qualify as an omelet! its hard-boiled eggs with a bunch of stuff in it! FAIL!

  • How to make barf.

  • why waste 13 minutes on this, when you can use a skillet and fry some eggs for less that 5 minutes.

    -.-

  • at 0:03 it looks like a bag of vomite

  • @jade66027 agree

  • Why? just.....why

  • AND DID YOU KNOW: When plastic is heated over 125 degrees Fahrenheit it produces a DEADLY gas know as CYANIDE, eat your death food! Link for further definition Type in Cyanide in search bar

  • hey, hey, HEY! what the fuck are you doing? you gone nuts? that is the most disgusting insult to an egg ever

  • IT LOOKS LIKE PUKE IN A BAG!!!!

  • Um you could use a....idk....MICROWAVE?

  • @animegirl2083 yes you dont know... microwave

  • i stick to the pan version...

  • People do it because it taste way better and no mes

  • when i was in girl scouts we made this and it tasted like shi+. then my friend flung it with a spoon and it stuck to the ceiling.

  • looks like someone vomited 1:01

  • Awesome. Gonna do this next time I'm camping. No more messy pans to clean.

  • not sure about this one. but Howcast videos are great. its the ExpertVillage that you dont want to watch.

  • @Musashi242 finally someone else that likes howcast

  • @kittyhernandez13 yea, check out How2Heros too for vid recipes

  • @Musashi242 thansk man :)

  • why.....just why would anyone make this and waste 13 minutes when they could make one in 5 minutes regularly without the plastic taste?

  • Why do I need to make omelet in a bag when if you can make it normally? -.-

  • How to Get Salmonella

  • @MollyoHengoo22 Doesn't work like that. . .

  • @comedyguy911 IDC cus its almost impossible to boil semi scrambled egss

  • @MollyoHengoo22 How so? It's a liquid, all liquids have a boiling point.

  • eggs are meat aernt they.....so its not a vegiterian dish haha

  • @BAMFzfs no eggs aren't meat... wow

  • @kitty78961 its an unborn chicken hahahaha

  • a omelet+a plastic bag that tastes like S***

    YUMMY!!

  • WHY IN THE FIRST PLACE WOULD YOU MAKE AN OMELETTE IN A BAG?

  • @VanillaVickyy its healthier. since it uses no oil... but i agree. a bag is damb

  • @VanillaVickyy if your trapped in the wilderness and you have a bag, water, tincan and eggs

  • @VanillaVickyy if ur a kid of u dont have a pan and u dont have oil

  • This is primarily for camping, morons! And if you use the proper bags, the plastic is boil proof. You CAN boil it and it WONT melt. Not rocket science. You have NO idea how many foods you eat are actually cooked like this at MANY restaurants. Is it ideal? No, but it works and again, GREAT for camping. Or you can enjoy your morning cooking eggs in a pan burning your hands as you try to cook over a bonfire. Get brains.

  • @FAQUAD2010 people are still able to put a pan over a fire when camping. you don't need to resort to this ridiculous method. your argument is invalid.

  • @FAQUAD2010 Your an idiot. Making it this way requires a lot more effort AND time than if you just cooked it on a pan. Not to mention YOUR hands would be burning if you had to hold up a bag over boiling water. THINK ABOUT IT the water is hot, steam occurs, steam is hot thus practically burning your hand. Also it takes about 13 minutes to cook it plus the time it takes for the water to boil so its much longer than if you were to cook it on a pan. Your way is good for camping but inefficient

  • @MeNotYou239 ladies, ladies, your both pretty.

  • @FAQUAD2010 chill

  • @FAQUAD2010 If we al got brains we would not need howcast

  • @FAQUAD2010 dude, i get what your saying but calm down a little. their just being idiot trolls

  • This stuff is awesome and delicious! If you don't have anything nicety say don't say anything at all, don't be a hater how cast rocks let's have peace on earth and omelets in bags

  • This acually looks good, I'm gunna try it

  • this tastes like boiled shit

  • this tastes liki boiled shit

  • ooooooohhhh it looks so disgust-i mean yummy>_<

  • @jadegirl3331 this tastes liki boiled shit

  • @jadegirl3331 this tastes like boiled shit

  • Did you know ....

That most chickens in the USA live a life of hell producing eggs until they are spent and then they are killed. Many end up tossed into wood chippers ... alive

    Enjoy.

    PS Boiled plastic ... yummy

  • @Lagolop O_O

  • I only watch howcast for the funny comments

  • your not supposed to BOIL bags, dipshit

  • @perpexel hahaha ur comment made me lol haha dipshit

  • loool it looks disgusting

  • hmmm love that hint of plastic in my food

  • no salt and pepper? ewww looks awful too.

This Howcast thing really needs to think before they produce a video.

I just felt like they just make anything that first pops into their mind.

  • I guess if you want to drop and go this is an alternative, but in 14 mins you could probably make a regular one that taste better.

  • nasty

  • Is cooking it in a skillet really that hard???

  • Just because you could do it, doesn't mean you should.

I could cook you an omelet in a pan in the time it takes to boil half a gallon of water.

  • Gee , Cooking in a plastic bag made of high-density polyethylene . Thats so smart! As if we weren't getting enough toxins from the air, water, and whatever they feed the animals and grow the vegetables wiith in the first place, now comes the suggestion that when infuse the whole dish with high-density polyethylene chemicals. Other than a stunt , and a nice dose of crap to load into your liver and possibly shorten your life some day, what could possible be the benefit?

  • Oh I know, it's the same reason people use teflon (PFOA) coated pans, to ensure their eggs don't stick to the pan and they don't have to consume fats with thier food. ( By the way the low fat / high carb craze of the past 30 years has contributed to the current epidemic of obesity) So save your life, don't eat plastics and eat natural animal fats like your body was designed to

  • 4,3,2,1 that man will barf his GUTS OUT

  • jez they have a how to for EVERYTHING....im searching for the video how to make an omelette while skydiving with no parachute using nothing but ur breath and egg shells...i kno they have it

  • i think this is a great idea, my bf has colitis, and he caan't eat things that have been fried in oil, this way he can still eat omelets, but without having to put them in a pan with oil

  • @mirnaknin you dont have non-stick pans in your country then?

  • @MrQuijibo you are a jackass

  • @mirnaknin While i may or not be a jackass, you should try cooking without oil, instead of this idiotic idea. Get youself a non-stick pan and try not to hurt yourself using it.

  • Or you can just make an omelet the regular way...

  • Yeah but the plastic gives off toxins into the food when it is heated.

  • ... that should be illegal...

  • hmm bpa is in that bag i would not do that

  • Why?

  • Ive heard of ice cream in a bag but omelet in a bag uhhhhh

  • @uetzel i did that once and it came out tasting like short bus

  • Aren't you eating melted plastic, that way?

  • when it's raw it looked like shit n puke eww

  • @kabuto1005443 uhhh.... go see a doctor if your shit and puke looks like that

  • i don't get the point...you still have to be in a kitchen to make it this way...if you are in a kitchen why not just use a skillet instead of waiting for that huge pan of water to boil and then cooking your food in a freezer bag that will leach chemicals into it...

  • can't i just put it in the microwave?

  • my life is complete now :D

  • belive me howcast DOESN'T care about your comments :)

  • how to make omelet in a bag

    step 1: make an omelet

step 2: put it in a bag

  • wow... this takes way longer than making a normal omlett. this is fucking retarded.

  • @uetzel Couldn't agree with you more :D

  • "Omit the ham for a vegetarian dish."

You're still eating chicken eggs, I'm pretty sure that's not quite vegetarian.

Still, it looks good, I might give this a try!

  • @miscplusahalf I think you're thinking of vegans. Vegetarians can eat animal products but not the meat itself. Vegans can't eat any products relating to animals like eggs, milk, and honey as well as the meat.

  • @SuperFroyo Huh, I always thought of eggs as part of the whole meat family. Never really thought about vegetarianism much before though, guess I learned something!

  • looks like someone puked in the bag :D

  • 1/4 cup of every thing just say that cuz u can put rilly anything in a omelet

  • or u could make it on a pan...

  • I had a period in my life were I ate omelett for breakfeast every singel day. Now I can't even see it without getting sick D:

  • enjoy? enjoy that gross looking..... i dont even know how to call it

  • hahaha that guy looks happy :D

  • um. what the crap? if you have to use a pot anyway, why not just make that pot a pan, skip the bag and have something that looks at least half decent? this video should be called, an irritating way to make gross looking omelets. today.

  • when i made this, it looked like dog $H!T and tasted like raw egg

    I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!

  • Why fuck would i make an OMELET in a bag?

  • Why have I never thought of doing this?

  • Omit ham to make it vegetarian... the whole thing is egg =/

  • looks like sumtin i threw up after eating a pizza :L

  • something tells me this was invented by a drunk frat boy

  • not for the lazy people who don't care about how their food tastes. i use this when i'm in the back counry hunting, so i don't have to deal with a mess, grease etc. keeps the critters at bay and bears off your back because it's a simple cleanup. open your mind and close your mouth sometime, ya might get a different perspective on life.....

  • Wouldn't the bag melt?

  • @JDog7841 It's a ziploc freezer bag? Its resistent to heat changes.

  • For the lazy people out there that don't care about how their food looks like :P

  • NOT GOOD DONT TRY IT!

    (feels dumb for trying it)

  • How to cause a fire in your kitchen by boiling stuff in water.

  • i dont think plastic can be boiled..

  • ewwwwww that is so gross who would do that

  • this looks nasty

  • ewww

  • my goodness. i just tried it. & it taste like shiiiiiiiiiiit. it has a plastic taste to it. yuuck

  • @MikaeIe90 what i did to stop that i latherd the walls of the bag with hot sause it worked

  • it doesnt look that bad the guy really scares me!!

  • or you can just learn to make an omelet in a pan?

  • 13 minutes? pan omelettes take a minute or two. i see lots of plastic going into ovens and lots of hotels will make eggs in bags... worries me a bit.. plastic isnt something i want to be eating. and why cant you add milk to an omelette? several other videos of it being done. only difference really is technique. sorry but im pretty sure a pan omelette is better in pretty much all respects. faster to make. tastes better with sauteed condiments. no plastic. think of all the chemicals in plastic..

  • can it work with a gas stove?

  • @rockyourarse gas stoves boil water, correct?

  • :c

    That guy scares me.

  • That's nasty.

You need to cook onions for longer than that to make the starch in them sweeten up.

So... you spent about 20 minutes (5 minutes to boil the water) to make a nasty omlette that would have been better done in a frying pan - and only taken 5 minutes. Good job!

  • @albedo0point39 BTW last i heard its not gonna kill you to eat raw onion and its good

  • @albedo0point39 not always it all depends on the persons pallette. I prefer to chop onions onto my omlette right after it's done, fresh and uncooked. Where as you clearly like them done. Cook them before putting them into the bag.

I do agree however this way of making an omlette doesn't sound very tasty.

  • nah i would just like cheese and ham plus the egg

  • look sick.....I don't get it y not fry it?

  • it reminds me of something I saw on jackass a few years ago lol

  • looks pretty disgusting too

  • it looks like a heart so im going to do it for valentine day XP

  • tht is just weird.

  • thats cool

  • Comment removed

  • what the fuck?

also lol at "one fourth cup" as opposed to "a quarter cup"

  • what the hell?

thats a chunk of omelet lol

  • @imppy725: yes, but that would make too much sense, obviously.

  • is it not faster to use a pan?

  • @imppy725

maybe but this is less messy and requires less work

  • Rather cook this dish in a pan. Hot, smoky and delish!

  • wat? no salt and pepper?

  • Seasoning is very important. But you can add them to modify your omelet to make them taste even better!

  • why would an omelet be a vegetarian dish? there are eggs in it right? and you can get cancer from this. not the best idea...

  • @crazinem Some vegetarians let milk, eggs, or even fish slide by. GOOD freezer bags, (not ziploc), are safe enough.

  • freezer bags are safe not regular so freezer bags ONLY!

  • that looks like a nice serving of cancer.

  • According to the University of Illinois, Ziploc Omelets are toxic!

They stated, ""I thought it was important to respond to a questionably safe Food Fad, the ZIPLOC OMELET. It is the latest NOT recommended fad. Please... DON'T try this at home and we will tell you exactly why. There is still question about the cancer causing breakdown of plastics and their contact with food during cooking."

  • really

  • mmmm.... who doesn't love the taste of cancer?

  • Cancer is awesome...and tastes delicious...mmmmm....yummy!

  • Its also good to heat all the vegtables in a pan and then add to the bag. This bag thing take takes too long but you can boil more than one omelette at a time

  • Thanks for stopping by my page. I will continue to stay posted on your page and I wil certainly subscribe.

  • I'd rather make it the normal way. This doesn't look like it would be that appetizing.

  • "omit the ham for a vegetarian dish."

    really? i didn't know.

    :)

  • lmao

    same name much

  • Thats a bit too weird for my tastes, aha

  • seems kinda gross

  • putting a freezer bag in boiling hot water... GENIUS!

  • no milk?, i thought that was a important thing in omelets

  • i use milk only to make regular eggs but for omelets you dont use it to keep it fluffy

  • @moomoomeal No. Adding milk will make it into scrambled egg. Omelette doesn't have milk.

  • @moomoomeal usually a little splash of milk is added to ensure the fluff of an omlette(also can be substitued with water) but I'm assuming by the texture of the finished product, this omellete isn't supposed to be ''fluffy''

  • @moomoomeal MILK WHAT

  • @moomoomeal milk in an omelet? :S

  • @moomoomeal iv never used milk in my omelettes and they taste the same to me

  • @moomoomeal milk makes eggs fluffier for an omelette... but since you're not cooking them in a skillet it may be different

  • @moomoomeal LOL I GUESS THEY FAIL...

  • that was cool!

  • isnt it faster to just make it the normal way?

and wouldnt the chems in the plastic ruin the taste?

  • For one thing, it should be used while camping or something, and secondly, who gives a fuck why be over the stove when you can just leave it in a bag and do what you do?

  • if you read the description

    it says campsite breakfast

  • rnt eggs themselves not vegatarian

  • They are considered to be vegetarian because they are not yet live yet.

  • What about salt and pepper? haha.

  • That's awesome.

  • We did this in girl scouts like 4 years ago..

  • wouldn't the plastic melt into the omelet?

  • no, i tried it.

the plastic around the omelet won't melt,

but other areas of the plastic will.

so just keep an eye on it.

    it was really good :)
