I taught myself and A-Justice taught himself in less than a month. Software and having a ear for good samples is the hardest part in producing. Then finding someone to publish or spit on your beat. THATS THE HARDEST PART OF THE GAME. You have to love Hip Hop to survive as a producer.

nice. man can't believe you've only been at it for a year, makes me ashamed of the stuff i've done. i know how producers are with their techniques, but how do you process your drums to get them phat, coz i know primo runs 'em through a preamp first, and never uses compression. so i kinda been on gettin' one, for the mo i just been usin' a preamp emulation vst.

i run the samples thru the dj mixer straight into the MPC... i got my 4 outs running thru a 12chan mackie mixer to record in daw.
