Respect your opinion, you are truthful. I believe Honda is the most reliable of the Japanese! Having said that, Ford used all of its resources on their trucks and SUV's; they did not truly focus on there cars as the Japs did. This is why Ford has extremely well built and reliable trucks. Ford Trucks have the best resale and purchasing rate of virtually any vehicle. However, since 2005 with Alan Mulally (Boeing CEO) as Ford's CEO, he has restructured Ford to compete with its American transplants
Yeah if they sold this in America it would change a lot of people from import to domestic. Yeah i just want it look nice for a ford im stuck with a Fusion.
@derrinirl I can answer that question. It is because Europeans have higher standards when it comes to reliability than Americans. Americans want power and Europeans want reliability. Which is probably why the Mondeo is not offered in America and why the Mustang isn't offered in Europe. Secondly, the reliability niche in America is filled by the numerous Japanese models from Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Scion, Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti.
Honestly, Ford used all of it resources on their trucks and SUV's; they did not really focus on there cars. This is why Ford has extremely well built and reliable trucks. Ford Trucks have the best resale and purchasing rate of virtually any vehicle. However, since 2005 with Alan Mulally (former Boeing CEO) as Ford's CEO, he has innovated Ford's cars to compete with the American transplants. He is also having Ford on one global platform so Ford Europe and America will be the same.
Take a look at the Ford Fusion for example. The Fusion is on its way to surpass the Camry for best resale value and has the same quality with Toyota and Honda according to consumer reports. Ford is not the same company they were years ago, they are finally building their cars just like there trucks, tough. Just wanted to give my 2 cents, thats fine if you don't agree with the facts speak for themselves.
@FordGT8806 I respect your opinion and you probably are correct but I don't buy from companies that don't start out honest. I respect Honda because at least they have and always will put out a good product which is why Japanese automakers pretty much dominate the sub 30k vehicle market. This is my opinion and I may be incorrect but I have never had any trouble with my Japanese cars.
this car is the best!

why is this not available in America.

@djdk89 I'm surprised Ford doesn't sell the Mondeo in America. They sell it in Europe, Australia, China so I don't know why America is been left out.
