  • not to sure but there is a sleep issue on this board :/

  • "might be hard to reach the PCI-E retention clip" that's why we have sticks, linus

  • where the ps/2 slot is can i use say a keyboard and a usb mouse or vice versa

  • @xRyannM one or the other only.

  • would you could consider this for a gaming build?

I am too cheap for LGA 2011 so I guess LGA 1155...

  • @Mattucheese These days, any processor you buy from intel is enough for gaming. 2011, 1366, and 1155 will all play games at the highest level. The processors only really make a difference if you're using them for graphic design, video editing, and things of that nature.

  • @Mattucheese lga 1155 is good mate. even a low end i3 2100 will play games fine assuming you have a decent mid-high end gpu

  • @Mattucheese Look at the Z68 chipset boards instead, the price isn't much different and you're getting more future proofing especially if you go with one of the GEN 3 boards (that have PCI-E 3.0 support when the new Ivy Bridge CPU's come out).

  • Ciekawe kto od Huśka

  • I got that one is amazing!

  • @xiKoNrad does it come with the fan to put in that little slot on the motherboard?

  • @Kryonproductions nopes, that you got to buy separate if you want one

  • @JeemOfRunescape what is the size? 40mm?

  • @Kryonproductions its either 40 or 50mm, look it up @ Asus homepage

  • ima buy this motherboard and 2x4 gb ram that runs in 1866mhz but it says that this motherboard supports 1800mhz... will i be able to use the ram?? :S plz respond ANYONE!!

  • im using this mobo also..whn at start,it make sound beep twice..is that normal?

  • @lattif85 That's a "BIOS sound" it should beep if it is working, but it can also beep many times in a row if something is wrong.

  • EU QUERO!!!!!!!

  • Bought this for my computer, i like it :)

  • Stupid question, does this come with screws to mount motherboard to the PC case?

  • @XFXMental That comes with your case

  • Linus ur a legend ... i been building up my pc for like 3~4Month Now and Ur videos Covered every thing i wanted !

  • Just got this motherboard and the 2500k today!

  • @mikeello35 how you get on with them both?

  • @mikeello35 so what can you say about the board?

  • sorry, but im not so good with computers... but does that MemOK thing mean you can have ddr2 ram?

  • @TheodorKK No. It's for resetting your RAM settings when you've overclocked your RAM to an unstable speed.

  • ...it also haz a FRIGGIN' AEXE on the front of the BOAX

  • how do i reset bios with this motherboard...

  • @kiriconan ts under the armor bro

  • You're voice sounds like Van Driessen from Beavis and Butthead

  • nice. like the that whole thermal cover..thing..

  • if i put 2 video card on this mobo, it become x8 for each slot???? will i have some loss of performance if i use 6870x2 and single 6870(trifire setup) with x8 x8?????

  • @Stasiok he did a video on x16 x16 vs x8 x8 crossfire, the dual x16 won out by 0.01% lol

  • @klooger28 x16 x16 isn't supported until ivy bridge I thought..

  • @Ri1seAgainst no i think ivy bridge is 3 x16 mabye, either way ivy bridge has already been out for quite a few weeks lol

  • @klooger28 ivy bridge isnt out till q2 or q3 2012

  • @epicfail022 isnt ivy bridge like the 3960X? 2011 socket, which has been out for a few weeks now

  • @klooger28 dude thats ivy bridge-e

  • @acematin oh lol, well whats ive bridge gunna be then?

  • @klooger28 it's the replacement of sandy bridge, the 1155 ones not the 2011 ones.... :)

  • @acematin oh ok, so they will be even better than sandy bridge-E? or are they aimed more towards the middle? and how do the numbers work? are they like 4600 or something? lol :)

  • @klooger28 Their more toward the middle, but there aren't really any specs released, just a few rumors and leaks, but there was an article about an i7 3770k(ivy bridge) that's about 9% better than an i7 2700k(sandy bridge) (although i'm not 100% sure about it being true or not)....:)

  • @acematin Oh so they use the same numbering system as the sandy bridge-E? and jsut come in underneath the 3960 and stuff?

  • @klooger28 Thats what I think...:)

  • @acematin :)

  • whats the name of the graphics card ?

  • Very cool looking board imo

  • what card was that

  • I was watching this because I was very close to deciding I'd buy this motherboard. It looks so shit, now I'm not sure if I should get it or not. (ignore performance, I know that'd be amazing for this. But I prefer it to be naked)

  • @railpressureflip you can remove the thermal shield or cover right?

  • @jutenheim223 he says yes around 8:35 screws on back

  • @railpressureflip If you want the overclocking potential of this board but don't like the look of the shield, the P67 Deluxe board is killer for just a few dollars more.

  • @railpressureflip You can remove the shielding.

  • @railpressureflip he says u can take the shield off

  • @camvvti But then it may malfunction or something :S

  • Nice design but I didn't care much for the color scheme.

  • Can one of you guys please tell me if there would still be enough space for 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM if I put a Noctua NH-DH14 CPU cooler on this board?

  • @TheGameTeddy I'm not too sure about that one, I highly doubt the standard Vengeance would fit however the low profile version MIGHT.

  • @canthaguild Damnit... I really wanted to have the Noctua cooler cause that thing is pretty awesome ... So I probably will have to go with some sticks that aren't as high :-|

  • @TheGameTeddy Google Search Corsair Vengeance Low Profile.

  • @canthaguild Thanks :) That'll work.

  • @TheGameTeddy I have a Thermaltake Frio with dual 4GB Corsair XMS3 (which are really low profile) and the Frio blocks the first ram port.

  • @SliPaladin Damnit that sucks... But I'm not gonna install some watercooling shenanigans just because of one RAM stick that wouldn't fit in.

  • @TheGameTeddy Yeah you're better off with a Corsair H60 imo

  • Asus Sabertooth P67 motherboard+Intel 2500k processor..... after 3 months the temps are around 40-45 degrees with the assist fan of course, but usually they never pass 40 degrees....

  • damn thats ugly

  • Oh, i love my "skinny" screwdrivers! ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • Dear Santa...

  • Good luck changing the CMOS battery. It's under the tuf armor.

  • @jchambers2586 the armor is removable....

  • What's the size of the North-Bridge fan slot?

  • @xXDP5150Xx 50mm fan.

  • whats better for gaming , this or the Maximus IV GENE-Z68?

  • @Buttfuckbysquirl Depends, I have a sabertooth p67, but the gene-z is good too. The reason i prefer the sabertooth is because it supports 3 slot GPU's,

  • @Orexll Thanks for your answer man , but i bought my PC yesterday :) Went with the Sabretooth cause of the 50mm assist fan thingy , it really makes a difference in temps :) The PC i bought is a beast .__.

  • I thought the axe was a metal bird.......

  • @hse970 i thought it was a horn of a rhino D:

  • this motherboard is as costly as my pc. lol :p

  • Does anyone know if a Cooler Master V8 CPU cooler will give enough room for the ram on this thing?

  • @ZipeMetro well i have a Cooler Master V6 on mine and i ha to move my ram over to the B slots as it covers the A ones but i believe it mainly matters about wiether you have fins on the ram, the V8 should fit fine with ram with no fins

  • I got this board with a V8 and just put it together. I can confirm that there is enough room for ram. :)

  • On its way from newegg. 2 X GTX 580s and a 2600k i7 and 8gb ram :3

  • @SweatyHatMan got simular setuo man you will love it :), this board overclocks like a dream 5mins got my cpu to 4.5ghz stable1

  • @VividMediaGaming I just got it together and its awesome! Im testing it out with BF3 with everything maxed and im getting crazy FPS. I still have yet to overclock though, but i intend to do so :) Its definitely a step up from my old setup with an AMD Phenom II and 2 GTX 275s.

  • Comment removed

  • @SweatyHatMan what is your current setup?

  • @HeatonMulti

    Motherboard: Sabertooth p67 (obviously)

    Graphics: 2 1.5 gb EVGA GTX 580s

    Processor: Intel Core i7 2600k, with a coolermaster v8

    Memory: 2 G.Skill Sniper 4gb (8 gb total)

PSU: Zalman 1000w (I forget the model name, got it a while ago and reusing it from my last rig)

Case: Antec Nine Hundred (first version)

Storage: 3 7200.12 Seagate Barracudas configured in RAID 5 mode

    OS: Windows 7 home premium

Monitor is an LG that goes at 1920 X 1080.

  • @SweatyHatMan O.O NICE ! ! ! ! ! :D

  • @SweatyHatMan Sniper all the way bro>> They look so epic on my sabertooth too. They just came out with a 2133 kit also, so i think I might pickup another set ;)

  • @Orexll Agreed, theyre pretty nice :) Although the huge Coolermaster V8 I have kinda makes them harder to see in the case :P

  • @SweatyHatMan thats why you get water cooling

  • got this now :)

    its gonna have an i5 2500k, 8gb ram and a GTX460

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!!

I am buying this motherbaord this week with a i7 2700k in a HAF 922 case

i was wondering if I bought a Coolmaster V8 CPU cooler how much I could overclock it by and will it even fit inside the motherboard (because of the armour thing) and the case. THANX in advance

  • @finchywinchy1 hmmmm, i'm not sure if the Coolermaster V8 will fit on this motherboard ,the motherboard is a 1155 socket, and the cooler only supports Socket 940, Socket 775, Socket AM2, Socket AM2+, Socket 1156, Socket 1366 i could be wrong tho

  • @chubbyguyftw socket 1156 uses the same mouting holes as socket 1155 if im not mistaken

  • @mass3gf could be i'll test it today :D

  • @chubbyguyftw thanx for the reply but when you buy it, it comes with no sockets and you have to buy the sockets sepertly. My only concern is that it might get stuck against the TUF armour because the armour is about 2 cm high

  • i heard there are probles when u try to exit sleep mode. does that problem still exist?

  • Asus SABERTOOTH P67 or EVGA P67 SLI ATX ???

wich one should i buy? :=)

  • @HubbaBubbaVj

I heard some people had some problems with Sabertooth.. but I did buy the sabertooth anyway.

  • @HubbaBubbaVj The heat shield thing doesn't work, in fact it does quite the opposite... I wouldn't get this

  • How are you meant to say Asus? If it's asoos I'm never buying it again because that is gay as hell

  • What is the best mother board for SLI?

    i mean x16 & x16. and not x16 & x8.

  • @RiseoftheSith21 Nvidia=Intel

    AMD Radeon=AMD

  • @FSXkid11 AMD Radeon is AMD, HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE. that's fucking bullshit dude stop trolling

  • @flargtard I know. Calm down. AMD Radeon GFX is made by AMD. Therefore , AMD=AMD. Their driver play nice together. If you take a AMD CPU and a AMD mobo and put a nvidia card on it. Some boards will have driver issues

  • will asus sabertooth p67 motherboard fit inside the cooler master HAF 912 mid tower case?

  • @DaKingAlexander1991 yes it wil

  • Is there space in this MB for 2 Evga Gtx 560 ti SC? I'm looking to get this MB with those 2 cards in SLI just wanna make sure I can, Thanks in advance!

  • Just got one of these

  • Is this a good motherboard?

  • @kjetilsenNOWAY yes it is, i'm using one right now. i can go pass 5GHz on it like nothing... but it all depends if you like the p67 chipset. i use p67 because i don't need ssd caching because i only use ssd's. and another benefit of z68 over p67 in quick sync for video trans-coding, it is a lot faster than doing it off a dedicated GPU.

So z68 gives you ssd caching and quick sync over p67, but i use none of that stuff, and i really like my sabertooth :)

  • @Orexll Thanks :) I think that im going for the p68

  • @kjetilsenNOWAY Do you mean 'p67 or 'z68?

  • @Orexll he means p67

  • @Orexll Whats SSD caching? Im building a new computer and i want to use this Mobo and a SSD, will it be fine?

  • @xRevelations1 SSD caching basically allows you to use a SSD to cache a HDD. You will not need SSD caching if you are only going to be using SSD's. But if you have a HDD and you have programs on it, your MOBO will cache those programs onto the SSD.

  • @Orexll So what will happen if i have a SSD for my main programs and a HDD for storage and like other programs which i wont be using frequently? Cheers

  • @xRevelations1 That setup will be perfectly fine. SSD caching is an Option, you do not have to Use it. It is mainly for people with small SSD's like 32 or 16GB that want to cache a HDD.

Most people do your option, have a SSD for programs, and a HDD for files.

  • @Orexll Oh kk thanks for the help :P cant wait for my new build ^^

  • question: the mobo im getting is 8 pin obv, my psu doesnt have an "8" pin but two four pins, do i plug the two four pins into it or just one four pin

  • Hey Linus Im just wondering does an amd system run well with an amd rather a nvidia gpu and same with intel is nvidia better in an intel system?

  • @RiseoftheSith51

he already did that i think..

    end result: doesnt really matter..

  • @WAFFLES081

Okay man, thanks, Ive yet to come across a "review" or video on it.

  • how many fan slot thing's does it have cuz i wana get this motherboard but i have 5 fans including the cpu fan and im not sure it will have enough

  • @for818 im running this motherboard in my antec df-85 with 7 fans + cpu fan and i have no problem (:

  • The PCI retention clips are easily press-able (it's a word) i should know. :p

  • Comment removed

  • @orpanyd Haha, oh god you have no life. I commented on this almost a year ago when it came out, you have seriously gone threw and looked at over 500 comments for fun haha

  • Woot! Awesome board, i'm getting it this friday! :D

  • @DRChAyNe Its amazing, I have it, and its just awesome, it will never fail on you

  • so i can pit my i5 760 on the motherboard? its a 1156

  • @xxVam NO.. this is LGA 1155

  • Comment removed

  • @xxVam NO NO NO! You will damage your processor and your motherboard.

  • @Eltonto32 k ty

  • I have always wondered what happened to the 1156 socket?

  • @pimpjuice739 It got merged into socket 1155, so you can use 1156 processors on an 1155 motherboard.

  • @TheSkateyBird My bad, after looking thats only CPU coolers.

  • @TheSkateyBird ah lol just saw this comment but I said same thing to reply anyways :D

  • @TheSkateyBird I am pretty sure you can not mix a 1156 socket chip on a 1155 mobo, Maybe you are thinking of using a heatsink mount which is compatible with a 1156 but will also work on a 1155 mobo other then that I do not see how a 1156 chip will fit on a 1155 mobo just my thought but I could be wrong.

  • gigabyte much better oc

  • Ive read arnd. Ppl say th mobo sli support is bad? Imma gtx 460 oc sli. Any1's thoughts

  • they should make asus sabretooth z68 gen 3

  • Will I be able to use my I5 2500K on this board?

  • @TheWASDgamers If it is LGA 1155 yes.

  • @TheWASDgamers Yes. Buy a hyper 212+ and you can get it to 4.5 GHz.

  • @TheWASDgamers Of course thought im sure you researched on it already...

  • will I be able to use this with my i5-760?

  • @maggotvenger94 nope

  • this motherboard seems to be built ford.. i mean asus tough ;)

  • "its TUFF and will destroy YOU..."

  • PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME??? Is this motherboard SSD compatible?

  • @EvilHomieYo yes sata 3 or 2 ssds but just get a sata 3 ssd

  • @EvilHomieYo yes is it..

  • @EvilHomieYo ofcourse.

  • will 1155 p67 series support Ivy bridge processors or we need to buy all the stuff again. I am looking for an upgrade to sandy bridge and ivy bridge is coming out next year so i am really confused that should i wait for ivy bridge or should i buy sandy bridge and if i buy sandy bridge then i will regret that i should have waited for ivy bridge so please answer my question.?

  • Would I want to run my hard drive on the intel chipset sata 6 or the other two?

  • Sorta new to motherboards, so can I run two PCI express video cards on this motherboards if I were going to SLI them?

  • Can you overclock on p67??

What is the difference between z68 an p68

  • @MrShnuggleMuffins Z68 can do everything P67 AND a H61 can do. And even better. With some extra features.

  • @MrShnuggleMuffins Z68 is the latest board and has new features, it also has some good things like more usb 3.0 (on some boards), more sata3 (on some boards) and it also has some feature about if you have an i5 2500k or an i7 2600k with a z68 you can video render/encode at the same time as running things with your discrete graphics card. z68 is better for future proofing, BUT the p67/8 are very good budget boards and should never be over looked when buying a new mobo.

  • @MrShnuggleMuffins

H 61 Chipset ... just working - low budget almost none OC.

H 67 Chipset - same as H61 but integrated gfx working (virtu)

    P 67 Chipset - OC is possible

    Z 68 Chipset - OC + integrated gfx (virtu)

Q 67 Chipset - this is for the buisness sektor - it should be more stable and reliable than the others but it is pretty much the same...

B 67 Chipset - this is for OEM PCs - nobody need this - is also a low budget solution

    have a nice day
