@MikeTeleto Apart from being one of josh's biggest influences he appears on most of their albums writing and doing vocals on one or two tracks but most notably co wrote and sang on a lot of the tracks for songs for the dead. He was a full time member for a while but left to work on other projects. the first qotsa album was written while josh was living on marks couch and touring with the screaming trees

The video is named "QotSA @ Mark Lanegan" implying that he is not an actual member of the band, which is enough to confuse someone who isn't aware of his contribution. I don't think RatSlayer's intention was to literally ask who Lanegan is, but to express his surprise as he clearly wasn't aware that Lanegan actually is the lead voice on this track.

Well what most people don't realize with QotSA is that Mark Lanegan did vocals for songs on several albums.... He's not really a "special guest" so to speak, as he sings this (and other songs) on the album. Even people who only know one QotSA song should know that Homme has a more high/mellow voice while Lanegan's is much more coarse/dark/whatever. If ratslayer wants to know "who the fuck M.L" is.... I would assume he "knows who the fuck QotSA" are.
