  • Thank you for sharing this. I was at Blue Rodeo's concert at Hamilton Place last night. The sing-along "Hasn't Hit Me Yet" brought me to tears. And they closed with "Lost Together." I've got some videos of a tribute band called Blue Radio on Youtube. - Quadrillium

  • im 18 and i love blue rodeo haha. im so glad we kept it canadian this year.

  • Black Eyed Peas did play a Grey Cup halftime show a few years ago. Lenny Kravitz also played one too. Not my idea of a Grey Cup halftime show, let's keep it CANADIAN.

  • Nice post thanks. I'm Candaian and damn proud of it.

I have no problem with Black Eyed Peas but Grey Cup only has Canadian acts at half time, so dangerfield5000 check your facts.

    Again, nice post 'hockeybooks.'

  • i thought the black eyed peas were the half time at BC Place a few years ago ?

i dont want my Canadian institutions to mimic tHe US stuff

    let's be different , EH ?!?

  • Well....I could be wrong but that's unlikely :).

    I'll look into it.

  • @bassball67 bassball, the Grey Cup does not have only Canadian acts at halftime. eg: The Black Eyed Peas...Lenny Kravitz, both American and that's just off the top of my head. Did you mean to say the Grey Cup should only have Canadian acts (which I think should be the case).

  • Wow! The Internet is a weird space... Love Blue Rodeo! Play nice people k?

  • It's great that they are Canadian... its just that their hayday was decades ago and their style of music is kind of laid back. The CFL should have chosen a much younger and more lively Canadian band, in my opinion.

  • Like Black Eyed Peas? They sucked when they did Grey Cup a few years ago. It actually hurt my ears. Blue Rodeo was AMAZING and I'm so glad they chose a band everyone can appreciate (whether or not everyone does appreciate them is another story...). Best half time I've ever seen.

  • Hayday decages ago. wtf are you talking about they have never gone away and still make recordings, they have what is called a carreer. Music is not about flavour of the month you child! Learn some life lessons before you open your mouth!

  • @wakaw07 Yes, their hayday was decades ago, and despite the fact that they're still recording music, most youth of this generation don't know who they are. Couple that with the fact that their music isn't very upbeat/energetic, and it was a bad choice for halftime. But thanks for the condescending lecture grandma.

  • Great band, but they didn't sing their best songs. They should have sang "Head over heels" and "How long". It was still great and definitely not a "tragedy" like people described it. I liked it because it wasn't too flashy like at the superbowl, it was just a great concert by a great band and the people there seemed to really enjoy it.

  • I'm not a big football fan, but this on of the reasons I watched the Grey Cup. BLUE RODEO!! They are a fantastic band, Great half-time show.

I sang at the top of my lungs at home, lol.

  • on Monday morning all the people in Saskatchewan sign WE ALL LOST TOGETHER

  • So happy someone posted this. I got a text message saying I was seen during the half time and sure enough there I am. There were a bunch of ladies wandering around with clipboards asking for people to participate in the half time show. We were told we'd miss about 5 minutes of the game. Most people weren't very interested and they actually had to work to find people in my section. Let that be a lesson to those bored in the stand! Was awesome to walk the field wearing my green!

  • I was on the field for the half-time show, and everyone down there was definitely having a great time. Sure it wasn't a typical half-time show as far as flashiness, and the stage set-up was not the greatest, so I can see why a tv audience (and fans on the wrong side of the field) might not like it, but trust me, a lot of the people at the game really enjoyed the band themselves, and there were a huge number of people in the stadium singing along to the songs.

  • a big disappointment in my view. Don't get me wrong, Blue Rodeo is an excellent band, but a poor fit for this type of event. An energetic, home grown band like Seventh Rain would have put on a much more energetic & entertaining show.

  • I agree about the worst half time show in history. Who was responsible for this travesty? 45,000 screaming, drunk fans put into a comma at half time. It was one of the strangest things I have ever witnessed on television. People in the stands looked confused and bored. Someone's head should roll for this mistake.

  • "The people in the stands looked confused"? Oh, that's why the halftime card stunt "put the crowd in a comma". I missed that.

  • I recognize the girl and the garden gnome at 5:46.The same one that everyone was taking pictures of on the Riderville dance floor Saturday afternoon.

  • That's my cousin and aunt

  • @drummerguurl ...will you please send this clip to them?

  • Thanks to the camera man for all the Glenn footage. :-D

  • Headlines on monday morning should have read " Riders lulled to sleep by worst half-time show ever in Grey Cup history". Men Without Shame would have put on a better show

  • 'Love this band, but what happened to Keelor? He looks ancient and unwell. He and Jim are same age. Is he OK?

  • Smoking ages you - whatever it is you're smoking.

  • I guess that could do it! Jim is still married to same wife, has three kids, looks better than ever - but regardless of who's in shape and who isn't, they are a great song writing team. I used to see them at Lee's Palace in the early days. I loved that combo of Byrds, Beatles kind of music. They are a Canadian treasure!

  • Maybe Greg wouldn't look so bad if he washed his hair once in a while and shaved that poor excuse of a beard. Plus the drug use doesn't help.

  • the 13th man lost it for the riders

  • `Wath is the name of this song??

  • Hasn't Hit Me Yet.

  • Best halftime show in a while

  • Oh, Canada.

  • i know the person at 5:00!!

  • MANDOLIN! yay BR <3

    thanks for posting

  • Nice guys. Great band.

  • lost together, class song

  • *ucking great song choices! Awsome band!

  • my apologies for missing the opening track, had tech difficulties

see you all at the next show, w00-h00 !!

  • WOW that's the best they could do to surroud the stage with people? Get like 100 people who aren't even paying attention to the performance lol? The band sounded great though that's for sure.

  • got a call from a buddy at the game, most of these folks are either contest winners, or were picked at the game for their dress-up effort

prolly closer to 250, but it's a football field, right?

i hope the couple who kiss at 07:45 sec find this

  • Yea just kind of surprised they didn't try to fill it more like they do in the superbowl, obviously the Grey Cup isn't the same but yea. Glad you uploaded this anyways. I was hoping to see how the performance was and it was pretty good i would say. They made a good choice with Blue Rodeo

  • Cheers! Thank you! I just knew that there would be a "hero" out there that would post this - especially appreciated by those of us who don't get TSN! You rock! Thanks for posting ~Cindy in TO
