Also it looks fine outside... under direct sunlight it does fad out but tilt it a little away and you can read the text just fine...it's not nearly the short comming some are talking about
Wanted to point out that I stated point number 2 so as to be tied into number 1.
More importantly, this "interview" was supposed to be based on a "to buy, or not to buy" theme, right?
So, by adding that "never even heard of the Zune" option you skew the theme and allow backhanding the Zune at the same time. But, I'm sure Mr. Morris knows that.
Also, by including that choice, you allow for the possibility of pro-Apple voters to select that senseless option.
If Mr. Morris wants to cite a poll whose nature is slanted in his favor of "confirming" his points, how about the following notables?
1. The sampling base was a WHOPPING 109 people.
2. While smugly emphasizing that 25% polled said they've "never even heard of a Zune", I'd argue that a lot more people have "never even heard of" Mr. Morris.
3. He is well-biased towards Apple. This poll is on HIS website.
4. The combination of my first question + Fox News = sculpting of the truth.
The dude from FOX has a real attitude and is actually a dope. He should study the XBOX and how everyone doubted their success. Microsoft is doing everything right, albeit slower than some hoped for, and they will eventually win in this space.
In that case, I would have loved to hear more about your opinion, not the other guys, but I understand how these guest things go. I would have loved to hear about how the browser plays/loads. I would have loved to see some actual demos of the apps, etc. Also I'm not sure saying that Zune HD doesn't have features that people don't want is a valid statement. Likewise (yeah long post) the Fox guy sayig that Zune is basically competing against Nano is a senseless statement.
The only leg-up that a Nano has over a Zune is the camera. The real target audience of the Zune (just my opinion) are the IpodTouch users, and the only thing Zune lacks over that device is the wide variety of apps (sense Apple didn't add a camera). And just so everyone knows, I have a Sansa mp3 player and was going to buy a Ipod until I found out that they weren't adding a camera.
Microsoft just wants to have all development of games and apps in-house right now. No SDK for 3rd party developers as of now but that will change in the future.
Woah woah woah. 1:56. I don't know what device he was using, but the Zune HD has an app store. Also, from what I have heard, there's a version of XNA to develop games for the zHD. There's no way to get them in the App Marketplace at the moment, but they can be put on the device. Also, Zunes have been huge in my school. 1/4 of the kids in my school have one, and it really makes owning a Zune much better because of the social aspect. I'm psyched to see the apps coming, especially the 3D games.
I don't think the point specifically is that people "feel" so strongly rather that this video (as it stands now) is just pure speculation and not really informative (in the scene that you have a few people talking up negative points on a device [albeit some positive] that they haven't actually tried. But what do I know, I'm some random guy online.
What is this guy talking about, MS just released the market place and even said that it is top priority for them explicitly promoting GAMES development... Ah.. Fox news, that explains it all.
Also it looks fine outside... under direct sunlight it does fad out but tilt it a little away and you can read the text just fine...it's not nearly the short comming some are talking about

XNA 3.1 supports the Zune HD for development so you're wrong on the SDK kit

Dudes, I'm actually really excited about the ZuneHD... to be clear... it's just how people feel.
If you feel so strongly, please leave a video reply and we'll use it in the show!
