This was absolutely terrible. Maybe 15 minutes into it you're wondering what's going on. And then all of a sudden you realize and you say to yourself "oh no they didn't." That's right. It's that bad. The others have been fine so far.
This was the stupidest Masters of Horror I ever seen. It wasn't scary, it wasn't funny, it was stupid. This specific episode ruined the whole series for me
@oblivionfan345Tony "it was stupid": Masters of Comedy? :P No but really so far Ive seen Jenifer and Cigarette burns, Cigarette burns made me be "insecurely afraid" afterwards and like sometimes look behind me a bit for no reason that was really cool horror
@StrangeTorbar zombies arent just part of our imagination, they are real, but they arent like in the movies, they dont eat brains and spread the virus, they were just people who were eating some kind of fish but the fish wasnt cooked properly so they seem to die but they come back after a while, but like stupid people, thats all, and Im not the one who is telling, Discovery Channel told me
@JihhanXneosupreme Basically, what he's saying is that real "zombies" are basically people who had eaten a type of fish that "killed", a better word would be put them into a coma or form a paralysis, and they eventually awoke, but had mental issues.
@JihhanXneosupreme yes youre right about the fish eating. I read a book about it. It was the pufferfish to be exact. If not cooked properly, its toxins will make you a zombie-like person
This is not episode about zombies, this is episode that says, WAR IS WRONG... they make wars just to make money , and all that rest of world has from wars is death of their dearest...
Zombies don't talk ?! what the hell are you talking about you SHITHEADS, zombies are part of human imagination, and you can make them talk, you can make them shit if you want I don't care, or you people really believe in zombies, and they have to be all the same like from the z movies, the worst , and most stupid movies...
I really loved this episode; it wasn't scary for me (one of the few that didn't), it was actually very sad that these brave men and women had to come back in order for thier fellow comrades not be to be killed...I actually cried! My dad was a Marine and was in the Gulf War so...I would totally help these zombies!
Also what I love is that these aren't your typical zombies going around and eating people you know? They just get up from their graves and vote!
This episode is great, an acid critic to all those republican shitheads that send good people to death for a lie or the selfish will of one stupid retarded leader

@Jurassic0AI I find it offensive because it is a dishonor to our men and women in uniform who risk their lives everyday overseas to protect us and keep us free...
The point of the episode is essentially the soldiers rise from the dead to vote against a second term of a president you sent them to an unjust war and is evoking their names for political gain...you know kind like reality..except the whole zombie thing. Alot of people find the whole war OFFENSIVE and that's the perspective of the film. Like it or not it's an opinion that exists
@zomboid79 I saw this episode years ago and I remember that the right wingers in this episode were initially ecstatic over the zombies but then have a change of heart when they learn that the want to vote. This was a funny, ridiculous satire of an episode, but it did touch on many of the opposing sentiments to the Iraq War.
@PeterPW hahahah free from what? you idiot you send soldiers to foreign country to stick noses in someone else's business, they are not taking your freedom, America is taking freedom from the rest of the world, I hope great flood get all of you idiots, and leave just reasonable Americans alive, same I hope for the rest of the world, and then one giant Darwin's reward will fall from the sky and this planet will be at last place for living...
not the best episode by a long shot but a rather apt reminder of the shame the American public should feel for the media and governmental attempts at point scoring in the last decade. The despicable actions of the few never warranted the despicable actions of the' War' and the need for revenge. Lets hope that American politics grows up in the decade to come.
These brave soldiers seek vengeance against the cowardly Republicans who sent them to Iraq to die for lies, oil and money. It is too bad that the Republican ChickenHawks have no brains because these courageous soldiers who gave their lives for this country are hungry.
You do realize that the soldiers volunteered to protect America —— not fight a war whose whole existence is for transferring taxpayer-money to military-contractors in the form of open-ended no-bid contracts. ¡Your attitude disgusts me!:
They were dumb enough to join to protect their country, so now we can do whatever sadistic thing we want with them.
I watched this some days ago.... Ohhhh the pure terror! The evil itself! Which master of horror-mind has created this!?!? Heh... Me and a friend we could just not stop laughing just after the final scene! especially the ending was so incredibly funny! I cried, laughed like crazy! P.S: The final scene, the ending, reminded me one episode of Looney Toons, with Porkey Pig who fell asleep beneath the American flag... :)
Yeah, wars and authoritarism come from the right wing parties, sure....that's why communism and socialism killed 130 million people just for thinking different.
I bet you think internet, tv, cars, and every science and art are left wing creations and that wars, death and rigged votes are a right wing quality....let me tell you: in communist countries you DON'T vote, the estate monopolizes everything (making communist governments more capitalists than capitalism)
and only communism do that? In the happy capitalist world happen that?? xD In my country with capitalism (or without it) the government kill thousands of people, and says "only were 100" I don´t think thats the problem in the flim.
In that case "Por mi raza hablará el espíritu" if the soldiers don´t want Bush, is for what he made them (war maybe? i don´t think is comfortable)...
in that case
Soldiers= retarded zombies xD in my countrry is that xD
I hear numbers from 20 to 100 milions (URSS), THese number are a immoral strategy of propaganda? Do you prefer murderers by comunist instead by others ideology (liberalism included)?
A questions, Pol Pot was the more terrible than Hitler for disumanity (he refuse to be classificate as a comunist) but USA supported he a lot, and was the comunist Vietnam that fight against it and make free cambogia from Pol Pot.
The 3 miliuons murdered people are of comunism or by USA and its friend?
I have seen this episode so many times and I live it brights a very clear message to all of us. The scene with the soldier on the street is very touching.
I loved the Masters of Horror series.... then I saw this one. I watched it while I was in the desert. I just wish hollywood wasn't so political. I miss the days when you could watch a movie or listen to a song without some political message. And to be honest most of the political messages in songs and movies are very liberal. These hollywood know nothings don't realize the troops are more conservative.
of course, if you sat at your computer and posted comments on something you knew nothing about, wouldn't you be brave? Have you been to the arabian shithole?
okay, enlighten me. why are we wasting time, money, and most importantly, lives, in a country that had nothing to do with us? lord knows our government doesnt give a flying fuck about freedom considering we armed saddam hussein in the 80s.
whatever the reason for the invasion of iraq, it was the wrong reason. if we were to invade every dictatorship we would have invaded our buddys the Saudis by now, but i have yet to see that happen.
When you have seen the trailer you think: OMG it must be so scary!
When you have seen the movie you think: Yeah... it was really lovely when the girl see his "zombie" friend in the vote office and when the black guy takes this marine in his shop and gives him this jacket...
Actually, it was VERY respectful to the soldiers & their families...in one scene, the owners of a Mom & Pop store(whose own son was overseas in the "wrongful" war)actually welcomed one of the undead soldiers into their establishment. It's the right-wingers that started this whole mess(and their enablers in the media[I'm looking in YOUR direction, Limbaugh])that, apart from our main character gets the Dangerfield treatment, which in my opinion is far more than they deserve.
ok well this trailer portrays all of the zombie soldiers as evil, but they only intend to harm the bad guys,i watched this movie and i would never friendly,
their is a touchign scene wer an older couple take in a zombie soldier, and show him hospitaitly, they also say that they are supporting his cause, the look of apreciation on his face was quite hearwarming,
i would definitly recomend watchign this move
guys u need to watch this move as it also felivers an important message WAR IS WRONG!!
I think everyone should watch it. It has a very ethical premise to it. The value of human life, even the life of a soldier should never be wasted on a lie.
it wasn't even scary. but it was politically scary. Imagine a right wing politician or army-nut watching this. it their worst nightmare. soldiers who stop being their puppets.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I wanted horror not shitty american politics. Zombies that talk, are nice to people and die when they vote? Jesus christ, I thought 'A Joe Dante zombie movie? Awesome!' I was wrong.
Romero makes his movies to reflect the times. Land of the Dead was about how our country symbolically treats the U.S.A's economic and social classes. Dennis Hopper and the people living in Fiddler's Green were the upper class, the street people the middle class, and the zombies the lower class. P.S. Sorry, I was supposed to write fodder for war in the previous message.
Romero's zombie movies have alot of social and political commentary in them. So does this one and it's not subtle. It's right up front and in your face. It leans to the left so Republicans will more than likely hate it. However, Democrats, liberals and those against the Iraq war enjoy! It shows how politicians use the troops as fodder war and the political arena. Remember! Republicans aren't the only ones who start or support unjust wars!
I agree that zombies talking is not too cool, but running Zombies are downright terrorfying! Still. Romero's Night Of The Living Dead zombies are the best.
The trouble with Zombie flicks these days is that the zombies can run, think and talk. That just ain't scary. Lucio Fulcio zombies are the best. They beat humanity down by their sheer inhumanity, and the ever increasing numbers. They start of as just a few, then by their gradual increase in numbers, man is left with no place to run. That is what makes zombies scary. And zombies that talk are just dull. Shame, cos this flick had promise.
I agree with how zombies today are horrible, but your saying Lucio Fulcio zombies are the best. Zombie 2 had good zombies, but in City of the Living Dead the zombies can teleport and shit, and you only see a zombie eat someone for like, half a second throughout the whole film, I thought it was bullshit.
i will not see it, when its your friends that are going in the ground...this move discraces them. Holly wood at its finest reaching out on old topics imo.
Joe Dante's had subtle political messages in practically all his films. For example Eerie Indianna & Gremlins 2 had attacks on consumerism and both Matinee & Explorers have a trace of anti-war about it, whilst Small Soldiers has a lot. This looks far from subtle, but still a hoot. Hope Dick Miller's in this one too! Dante has never failed to be entertaining thus far.
Looks REALLY good! Weird: woman as Fake Ann Coulter looks realer than real Ann Coulter (Coulter looks like robot or machine, no physical flexibility. This woman moves too much). Talking zombie looks little mean. As statement about military... Military filmmakers can't make it. But Joe Dante, most people commenting on this episode don't know about (I do)- a great filmmaker. I trust his instincts. So those shooting it down - get horror aware or shut your face.
I love all zombie movies that are done even remotely well and this is a political movie first and a zombie movie second. Unlike other zombie movies where the political messages are at least subtle this one is anything but. I did really enjoy it though.
I love that episode ^^ Zombie soldiers with a peacefull mission <3

Actually, it was VERY respectful to the soldiers & their families...in one scene, the owners of a Mom & Pop store(whose own son was overseas in the "wrongful" war)actually welcomed one of the undead soldiers into their establishment. It's the right-wingers that started this whole mess(and their enablers in the media[I'm looking in YOUR direction, Limbaugh])that, apart from our main character gets the Dangerfield treatment, which in my opinion is far more than they deserve.

their is a touchign scene wer an older couple take in a zombie soldier, and show him hospitaitly, they also say that they are supporting his cause, the look of apreciation on his face was quite hearwarming,
i would definitly recomend watchign this move

i wonder if i should watch this show
thesoradude 4 years ago
I think everyone should watch it. It has a very ethical premise to it. The value of human life, even the life of a soldier should never be wasted on a lie.

this episode was crap. the zombies hardly killed anyone! or ate anyone.
birtafagra 4 years ago
it wasn't even scary. but it was politically scary. Imagine a right wing politician or army-nut watching this. it their worst nightmare. soldiers who stop being their puppets.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I wanted horror not shitty american politics. Zombies that talk, are nice to people and die when they vote? Jesus christ, I thought 'A Joe Dante zombie movie? Awesome!' I was wrong.
MrMaggoo24 4 years ago
I agree with loganmanos. I found that episode pretty awesome and "in-your-face" towards politics.

I think what some of you guys are forgetting is that this film is meant as a statement for the war in iraq.
GODCONVOYPRIME 4 years ago 2
Romero makes his movies to reflect the times. Land of the Dead was about how our country symbolically treats the U.S.A's economic and social classes. Dennis Hopper and the people living in Fiddler's Green were the upper class, the street people the middle class, and the zombies the lower class. P.S. Sorry, I was supposed to write fodder for war in the previous message.
049765 4 years ago
Romero's zombie movies have alot of social and political commentary in them. So does this one and it's not subtle. It's right up front and in your face. It leans to the left so Republicans will more than likely hate it. However, Democrats, liberals and those against the Iraq war enjoy! It shows how politicians use the troops as fodder war and the political arena. Remember! Republicans aren't the only ones who start or support unjust wars!
049765 4 years ago
Actually, I think the first zombie looks like Daniel Craig.

i want to kill blonde woman when i watch it. thank you man who joins zombies in the end.

I agree that zombies talking is not too cool, but running Zombies are downright terrorfying! Still. Romero's Night Of The Living Dead zombies are the best.

i love this show

The trouble with Zombie flicks these days is that the zombies can run, think and talk. That just ain't scary. Lucio Fulcio zombies are the best. They beat humanity down by their sheer inhumanity, and the ever increasing numbers. They start of as just a few, then by their gradual increase in numbers, man is left with no place to run. That is what makes zombies scary. And zombies that talk are just dull. Shame, cos this flick had promise.
leslawrenson 4 years ago
I agree with how zombies today are horrible, but your saying Lucio Fulcio zombies are the best. Zombie 2 had good zombies, but in City of the Living Dead the zombies can teleport and shit, and you only see a zombie eat someone for like, half a second throughout the whole film, I thought it was bullshit.

Lazario2006 5 years ago
yes but i love it when the only way to kill them is to let them vote. thats the actual reason they returned in this movie.
metalimpaler 5 years ago
I love all zombie movies that are done even remotely well and this is a political movie first and a zombie movie second. Unlike other zombie movies where the political messages are at least subtle this one is anything but. I did really enjoy it though.
