well i dont know how much of a diss this was on david tennant but i did feel horrified for the royal shakespear company that this comment was made as if they would allow such a thing and even if they did change the skull i know for sure its not because some actor said so as actors (even good ones) are ten a penny where as this skull of what was once a living breathing person is priceless

To everyone who is saying that Jude Law is a bad actor: check out the movie Sleuth. He is absolutely brilliant in it, as well as many other movies. It's not his fault he's gorgeous. That doesn't make him a bad actor. That being said, Tennant is the embodiment of perfection.

Okay Jude Law is a terrible actor. David Tennant has amazing talent. David played Hamlet very well. He brought on the emotion I felt ten times more than what I felt when I read Hamlet. I don't think Law could do that, then again I don't want to see if he could because I cringe every single time I see him on TV or on a movie. Jude law is just a narcissistic asshole and David Tennant is an amazing actor.

It's not that bad. He just put a bit of a spin on what really happened and blamed in on the "guy who was playing Hamlet" when it was really the director who suggested switching it because he thought it might be a distraction to the audience.

Like a skull could really upstage David Tennant, or get more attention than guy who played the Doctor.

Actually, i havefollowed david tennant through his movies not just Dr. Who and i live in America. I have many of his movies, i have seen his british tv appearances if i can get them. Even if jude law resorted to childish name calling, they are both on two different levels. Id like to see him give the same caliber performance david has in shakespeare roles, it wouldnt happen, jude is more a-list paid for his good looks rather than performance.

As a Tennant fan, I'm not sure this was much of a diss. The only people in the States who are going to know who Tennant is are Doctor Who fans or fans of BBC shows. Neither of these are a majority. (A lot of people don't even get BBCA with their cable.)

I'm pretty sure Fallon might know who Tennant is. He's a bit of a geek so he's probably seen Doctor Who. But since the majority of the people watching his show wouldn't have a clue who they're talking about, they just said "the guy".

I don't know how much of a "diss" this was. Jude Law is nice to look at, and a good actor- but does leave one somewhat wanting in the personality department. I don't think he even knows who David is. But I have seen David's performance of Hamlet, and it was THE best I have ever scene. I quite actually cried by the end, and have never done so before. Mind you I adore Shakespeare, but no one has ever brought more emotion to that play than Mr.Tennant. I was in awe and grew a new respect for him.

Um, I enjoy his work, two of my favorite movies star Jude Law, and I think he's very attractive. However, I'm also fan of David's.

Jimmy Fallon, he might know who David Tennant is, he seems to be a fan of all kinds of things, and I think that may include Doctor Who. He probably wouldn't know that David originated the role of Hamlet in the production Jude's taken over though. Poor, Jimmy.

David and Law's Hamlets were completely different affairs.

David did his for the Royal Shakespeare Company while Law did his for Donmar West End before it transfered to New York.

When David had to withdraw from London performances for back surgery, his understudy, Edward Bennett stepped in but he was able to perform post surgery before Hamlet's run ended.

The BBC/PBS have made the RSC movie version of David's Hamlet produced by Illuminations and to premiere this December on the BBC.

In the end even the Gerard Butler and Ewan McGregor fans admitted on their own forums that David's fans are truly devoted to the man.
