This series and it's precursor are both very engaging and comprehensive surveys of the huge societal changes which made us who we are today in the early 21st century.

One does notice, however, especially if one watches all the episodes in one sitting, that Marr is perhaps slightly overfond of describing events in superlative terms - watching all the episodes at once, one tends to get lost in a sea of superlatives and thus sorting events into any kind of order or priority becomes difficult.
