But... Luke and Maddie, while really great friends, haven't been friends forever. They were acquaintances for a long time, but Luke's friendship with Jade made it a somewhat negative situation.

Luke and Maddie became friends just after they started their internship.They put the past, involving Jade, behind them and then after becoming fast friends, Maddie asked Luke to the prom, so that they could both enjoy it.

i love the JP/Craig story obvi but i actually think that this is more convincing in noah and luke's case. Noah has already had thoughts about his sexuality and both he, luke, and we know he's scared. How they portray the emotions and the plot in general makes a lot of sense to me. real life isn't nearly as dramatic about it as jp/craig. you have your intense moments but sometimes its a quiet revelation or a soft push in the right direction. i think the way they did it was real and nicely done.

I'm watching this thing for the whole Luke/Noah story obviously but the acting is a bit shoddy and cliched at times, right? I think the JP/Craig story in Hollyoaks is much more convincing. Plus, what's with Maddy being upset two minutes ago and then happy straight after? You have to exercise alot of willing suspension of disbelief to believe the characters bipolar emotions sometimes-lol.
