You are thinking of claw machine. This is a UFO Catcher. (Common misconception in America: That claw and UFO are the same things.) This particular model of UFO Catcher doesn't have a progressively stronger grip as you play. Newer models like Clena Flex does feature a variable grip as you play continuously. This older model has the strength set at a certain point, and will remain this way throughout plays. Let me know if you can find otherwise in this model's manual.
