You missed the fact that Mike build 14 spines with 14 drones at 17:25 in order to make more supply for his broodlords, instead of throwing units away, which, IMO, is one of the smartest things I have ever seen to date in SC2.

Protoss can double gas 4 gate. The key was Spanishiwa saw double gas stalker first, instead of sentry first. This implies tech, hence the spores.

surprised that more zerg players aren't using nydus networks after seeing how much success spanish is having with them. Honestly speaking, I would rather lose 100min + 100gas to save a 1500+ mineral and 1000+ gas army any day of the week, especially if you can get the mobility to defend bases as well as launch sneak attacks.

The reaosn he knew it was coming was that when he scouted, he didn't see any extra gateways, and expo, nothing. Obvously his first instinct would be that he's getting Void Rays, hence the spores, but after the timing window for the voids had passed and nothing happened yet, obviously that means minigun had to have gone another tech route, such as dts

When you see protoss go for 2 gas and only 1 or 2 gates, it is usually stargate. spanishiwa was preparing for voidrays, but instead the spores will help with the DT's as well

Span put up evo cham at 5:45. If you are familiar with his build, he doesn't normally get evo cham until after gas (usually he build them after lair n ling speed). He's gettin the evo cham that early just to get spores. That means something 5:45 or earlier triggered him to read 'DT'. PSY please ask him why!! THUMBS UP so psy can see!

@KennonLive -- If you go to Justintv and look at Spanishiwa's archived streams you can see the video from 3 days ago (2:00:08 in length) where he explains the reason for his early Evo.

When he scouts the 'toss getting gas before Cyber he says that that's usually indicative of fast Stargate play. Later at 31:54 he says, "Alright. I think it's stargate. That's the vibe I'm getting." At that point he throws down the his Evo. Now you have no need to ask Psy to tell you what he doesn't know. =)
