This is about the islamic extrimists in eastern and south east Srilanka destroy Buddhist monuments in archeaological sites. These islamic extremists not only destroy ancient buddhist statues,monuments etc.., but they grab these lands and settle islamic families by force,because the administration officials of the govt. in this area are mostly islamic or if not, the officials provide with huge bribes and perks to ignore this systematic destruction and illegal settlement.

Hey Thivakar this is not happening in North. I know that even LTTE did not destroyed famous Kandarodai or Kadurugoda archeological sites in North. But these Islamic extremists in East systematically destroying Buddhist archeological sites in East. Our archeological officers try to remand buddhist monks when they dig a toilet pit. Recently in Mihintale and Somawathie temples we witness it. But these officers pay no attention to archeological sites in East.

This is true. When minister Ashroff in power, his hench men grab this land belongs to archeological site.At that time Minister Ashroff gave money and other perks to Ampara archeological officers to ignore the land grabbing.I heard that there is a legal case about this grabbing land but it is drag on. It is time President lokk into this matter and protect and preserve this site.And also I heard that there is a huge Buddha statue in the sea.People saw it when the tsunami struck.
