The Pistons were outstanding on defense in 75 when Ray Scott coached the team. They were one of only 4 teams to win 50+ games that year, however they only finished third in their division behind Milwaukee and Chicago. The Bulls had a great defense too and when they played a 7 game series the scores were all in the 80s and even 70s.
I remember listening to this game riding back from Easter dinner at my aunt and uncle's house in Grafton, Wisconsin going back to Madison. Archie Clark ran wild for the Pistons.
Isn't it great to see hoops at the highest level without music blaring throughout, robot-created "cheers", 7-foot tall mascots, just a great game played by the world's best players?
To be fair--watched quite a bit of the Cavs vs Magic game last night (A true classic, a game we'll remember for years) and there wasn't nearly as much of the blaring racket we hear at a lot of games. All the more reason to like Cleveland (especially since Orlando's been one of the worst offenders)
I remember listening to this game on the radio on the way home from Easter dinner at my aunt's house in Grafton, Wisconsin. I remember Archie Clark was unstoppable for Detroit. Thanks for posting!
This is back when both teams (and Chicago) played in the Western Conference...all three moved to the East in '80, when the Dallas Mavericks joined the league.
Sat down and watched the game last night. Although my Bucks lost it was another exciting NBA game from the 70's. Brian Winters was on fire and finished with 33 points!

Isn't it funny to see two Sub .500 teams face each other in the Playoffs? Could you ever see that today?

Does anybody know the tune that's being played between 1:26 and 1:42 of this clip?

Good question. I sure can't think of its identity.
