Sorry, let me rephrase what I said ealier. Stalin had photographs of himself altered to his means and orchestrated propaganda. I am now trying to be more precise about what I have read and what I've learned in school. Now you tell me everthing you know and I WILL LISTEN!!!.
@andresc13193 Either my history teachers were wrong or I was not fully informed. You tell me what you know about the revolution and Stalin and I WILL listen to you.
@andresc13193 Either my history teachers were wrong or I was not fully informed. You tell me what you know about the revolution and Stalin and I WILL listen to you.
@TheCharacterActor Stalin didn't "steal" anything, he was simply supported by the majority of the party including Trotsky. Read history before you say such stupid things.
@TheCharacterActor Stalin offered to resign twice when the "Lenin testament" came out (even though there is a lot of reasons to discredit those letters). Everyone, including Trotsky, refused his resignation.
@marcelthemaoist Trotsky was the hero of the revolution as he organized the coup which took power in October. Stalin was a non-player. But upon accumulating power as Gensek, he gradually reduced Trotsky's role in the October Revolution, placing himself as the hero alongside Lenin. Try watching 'October: Ten Days Which Shook the World' and see how only 11 years later, Trotsky is transformed from the central organizer, to the only Bolshevik against the insurrection. What are you reading???
@StimulatedMindz This is a myth. Stalin was a member of the Bolsheviks before Trotsky, organizing strikes, editing the paper and pulling robberies to get funds for the party when Trotsky was editing Novy Mir (Menshevik Paper) while sipping coffees in a New York Cafe. Trotsky didn't even join until 1917!
@StimulatedMindz And actually, considering that Trotsky was not even on the central committee in October he took orders from people like Lenin, Stalin, Zinoviev, etc. anyways. I think you need to try doing your research better. This is not to discount the role Trotsky played in that time period and some other things he did well, but he was hardly special. In fact he spent more time trying to discredit Lenin than working with him.
@marcelthemaoist Ummmm Stalin's 5 year plans were a direct rip-off of the planned economy which Trotsky had been advocating since the implementation of NEP. Stalin played the role of moderate until he sufficiently isolated Trotsky, and his former triumvirate partners. With all opposition out of the way, Stalin took Trotsky's ideas of a planned economy and implemented with ruthlessness. So maybe before you tell other people to read history, you should give it a closer reading yourself.
@StimulatedMindz Lenin actually came up with NEP similar ideas were proposed by Trotsky, Zinoviev, Bukharin, etc. So is that your great homage to Trotsky? That he came up with NEP? So I guess Khrushchev, Deng, and Raul Castro are all trots right now. lol

@marcelthemaoist You and I also know Stalin fabricated most of his recorded history during his reign. Am I wrong?
