I have to say, Motoko is by far my favorite character in the entire series, I watched the anime first and thought it was pretty good. But then iread the manga, and I completely fell in love with Motoko. She's just so much more complex, kickass, and "real" than any of the other girls, especially Naru. If I were Keitarou, Naru would not be my choice. ;p

I know what RuizuMonokuro is saying, but I'd advance one caveat. The manga of Love Hina is really the master text, not the anime. It makes sense and coheres and reaches a full conclusion in a way the anime just DON'T. There are a lot of magic moments especial to the anime, and I wouldn't do without it, but.. well, what I just said. May I ask RuizuMonokuro if the situation he criticizes is the same for him in the manga?

I liked how Motoko appeared at first, strong independant and well...kickass. Then I began to watch the anime and was disappointed at how each character is just a sugar coated sex object. "Let's all watch this and pretend to be as lucky as Keitaro!" Nah. I know i'll get totally hammered for posting this but that's the consequence of free speech C;

I agree with the lucky as Keitaro comment, but I don't think Motoko became a sugar coated sex object at all. Sure, she let her hair down a bit, but she found out who she really wanted to be. She found a balance in her life between conviction and enjoyment. Kitsune is the only one I can think of as an obvious sex symbol. Basically, if you're wondering if someone out there watches this show for something other than the teasing of female body parts, I'm right here. Love Hina is kinda personal to me

@RuizuMonokuro The important thing about love Hina is each girl is an aspect of the ideal woman. Wise and mature like Haruka, Smart like Naru, Kind like Mitsumi, Athletic like Motoko. Good cook and affectionate like Shinobu. Rich like Su. Reality is that no woman will be all those things, so we all make our choices, or run from the game. I agree with you pose except for the word "just". As the series progresses, each character becomes far more than "just" anything. Motoko grows the most.

Every clip in this is from the anime series "Love Hina". It's ostensibly a romantic comedy, heavy emphasis on the "comedy" aspect. It also mixes in bits and pieces of other genres for sake of fun. Motoko's something of a tribute to Inu Yasha, which the creator is a fan of.

That specific clip is from episode 25, which is the final episode in the official series, though there are also a couple of specials and an OVA, all of which released after the series ended.

I hear intermittent bursts of some rock song for maybe half a minute of the play time, but different half minutes each time I listen to it, and sometimes the bursts aren't there at all. It's a shame cause the video's so good.
