The USA has a bad history of racism in our justice system, but you have to save your ire for the real cases of injustice. In this case, the evidence is overwhelming. They did it. Btw, to the bearded guy they interview... 1) Tom Cummins knew *retroactively* it was the tower of the waste treatment plant because he had BEEN THERE when he was interviewed and 2) Julie's body and where it was found prove that the intakes, etc don't necessarily preclude a body from getting out into the main river.
I don't agree with all these polarized statements that address race. I do believe Reggie Clemons is innocent. I know for a fact that the issues that are not being discussed are why the jury was "stacked" against the 4 men. Why evidence was suppressed and even when the evidence was discovered, no one turned it over to the defense team. That all tells me that the reason they did not let the evidence tell the story is because it was not in concert with the truth.
I should also mention that it was actually the now-deceased Marlin Gray who repeatedly changed his story...why would an innocent man do that? And for all the talk of Antonio Richardson being "mentally retarded", he presented the police w/a carefully-constructed alibi, which a man of such limited mental capabilities as he claimed to have, could not have pulled off.
its amazing how you can damn the surviving victim but not the assailants. the fact remains unchanged Julie and Robin Kerry are dead. These 4 men were convicted due to evidence obtained and confessions they spoke. how dare you as people say that they deserve life when they destroy and take lives?
@malletdiva02 - Cummins didn't admit to anything...he maintained his innocence throughout the interrogation and only said something to the effect of "You guys are gonna believe what you wanna believe...you want me to say I did it? Fine, I did it" to get the police off his back. If these guys didn't do it, why did they brag about their crimes in the days after the murder, to say nothing of how Cummins' personal belongings were found in their possession?
@WhatsAYak All of them admitted to the crime at one point or another, and as you said were in possession of personal property of the people they killed or attempted to when caught. They can make all the videos they want to, the fact will always remain that these men are rapists and murderers...no matter WHAT their color, race, sex or religion...
@DSVetDad - Indeed they are...I don't know why people keep trying to make this a racial issue, since this crime wouldn't be any less heinous if the killers were Caucasian or any other ethnicity. They raped/murdered 2 innocent girls, and that's the bottom line...sickens me that so many people are either blind to the truth or just being "race loyalists".
1) Mike Guzy claimed that Clemmons was never beaten but hosptial records show that Clemmons was admitted for brusies
2) Thomas Cummins, the cousin, admitted at first to seeing the girls fall and causing their fall
3) None of the three other men could pinpoint where Clemmons was that night in proximity to the girls
4) The same cope that beat Clemmons beat Cummings and Cummings receives a settlement from the city thought in interrogation he changes his story many times

How was he charged with rape if DNA was never performed?
From what I have read, the body of one sister was never found and the other was too decomposed for testing.
The cousin is trying to cover up incest

Something smells rotten in Denmark
1)Thomas Cummings first admitted to seeing and causing both girls to fall
2) Clemmons and friends are arrested. Clemmons is assulted by the same officer who assualted Cummings but Cummings gets money from the state
3) None of the three perps can identify where Clemmons was in proximity to the girls on the night they died
4) Mike Guzy police office states that Clemmons was not beaten yet he was admitted to the hosptial with bruises
hhhhmmmmmmmmm
