The DLR is the german space agency and there is no funding at all for military development of the JUSTIN system and there are no plans either. The system is aimed at 2 things: taking care of elder people and space applications like assisting astronauts or servicing of satellites. Because the throwing and catching of things is mastered now, exchanging tools and materials between 2 robots by throwing might actually be feasible in their daily work.
Very nice, the only way I could be more impressed is if the catcher decelerated the ball by matching it's velocity with it's hand on the last part of the catch (as a human would) At any rate, well done, most impressive!
