At the beginning of this lecture, Prof. Fears identified himself as a Bush supporter, but his answer to the first question from the audience (in video six) was a clear indictment against Bush's entire presidency. Does anyone know how these opposing statements from the same man during the same lecture can be reconciled?
@wusundowma What needs to be reconciled? I think you you probably see the world in black and white. One can be a supporter and an admirer of a President yet at the same time be opposed to policies initiated by that president and course of action undertaken by that president.

"There will never be another Washington or Jefferson", like Dr Fears said.
Leaders who took power in a revolution and were able to give up power and pass it on peacefully. where else has that been done?

You should listen to his "The Great Courses" series. He is an amazing speaker and an amazing intellect.
