  • wow, this is inspiring, I was confused about what to study, but I just realized that I have to be a veterinarian. :) I hope someday to do a job like yours.

  • What is most interesting about these connections between wild species and humans is how readily the animals, especially mammals, will learn to relate to their human companions. This is especially impressive with the predator species. These creatures are normally locked into a violent struggle for survival. They have no choice but to hunt and kill. That's what their metabolism demands. Remove that pressure and they respond to kindness in a positive way, revealing another side to their souls.

  • god bless you guys

  • Everytime I see your videos, I'm proud to be human. To be a part of the infinite love of our earth. And I just want to share it with everyone, as you do.

  • A huge thumb

  • People who loved animals rule

People who hunts animals for fur dies and go to hell

  • lovely place !! were is it !!

  • beautiful...

  • I admire this people

  • I love how you preach a sort of spirituality without pushing any specific belief system or religion, thanks :)

Also, the majority(?) of these animals for whatever reason cannot survive in the wild, the sole reason they're alive is because these people care for them.

The people who criticize out of africa and say "release them" what you're essentially saying is "kill them".

  • it would be better in their habitat, but also with you instead being killed for their fur or for hunting... nice video

  • I admire your genuine passion yet I don't agree with the statement about college gratuates not feeling passion towards their education. Lot of them do, otherwise we'd never had scientific discoveries, think about it.

    Awesome videos!

  • 8 people are the hippies that don't believe in animal captivity.

  • what you guys are doing is my dream job :S man...when I grow up I hope I'm like you guys saving/helping animals<3

may God bless your company or whatever you call your job :)

  • 0:41 thats a big kitteh leap.

  • This is amazing ! :)

  • How could anyone dislike this? Seriously, what kind of people could watch this and end up deciding to click "dislike"?

  • @Sigilstun Thanks for the great comment. It's hard to know what they don't like but your kind comment makes up for it. We appreciate it.

  • @Sigilstun This is an easy question. I'm one of the people, who dislike this video. I hope you'll ask me "why?":

Because of the barb wires fences, because of the electrical fences, because of the iron bars, because these animals are prisoners without guilt!

If the video was showing people liberating animals, people freeing imprisoned animals, I would like it very much.

The planet Earth needs no more than 300-500 million Homo Sapiens.

  • @ArabianSoul6 unfortunately which im pretty sure u know, humans tend to be kind of evil lol so i do see ur point in saying that they should be free but u have to consider that by doing so we exposed them to dangers that other animals in the wild have, such a sbeing hunted, killed, or watever, the thing is that they CANNOT PROTECT THEMSELVEs. there r too many bad ppl out there that will wipe them out. dunno just saying.

  • @Sigilstun I would say what kind of people do not like it except that those are words that I do not use. So I guess that I will just be polite and say they are haters who just go around being negative about all things beautiful.

  • @Sigilstun stupid ppl, ppl that wear fur and are full of ignorance... those are the one who dislike ....

  • @Sigilstun God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages.

  • @Sigilstun maybe they are just people who dont like see animals in cages under any circumstances

  • What a wonderful message! May God Bless you!

  • these people have the best job in the world

  • That's really good background music. Was it pre-recorded, or did you make it on a synthesizer?

  • We purchased it from Partners in Rhyme. Great royalty free music source.

  • this is a really cool place!!!

  • How long did it take to get all the animals to this one place?

  • This is cool.

  • I am so glad that there are people that can give animals unconditional love. Animals express themselves but without a voice....so for people to dedicate their lives to taking care of these animals the way they do....rescuing, rehabilitating...whatever the cause...is great and has put an imprint of my heart. I love this!

  • yea but give the animal the respect

  • large animals like these big cats are a thrill to go see all wild animals, are rare.

  • I still find this to be so beautiful.

The way that the man and the woman talk about how they see this is incredible.

    It is so philosophical.

The way that they just speak, it makes you close to tears. They have such raw and unadulterated passion.

What the man says is so true about us being made of the same clay and these creatures are individuals.

Watching them makes you realize that animals are the teachers and we are the students. We learn what true compassion is from them.

  • Yes, that's what is really interesting about Out if Africa. It's the way the animals teach the people rather than the other way around.

  • This is an incredible video.

The music that was chosen was a really good choice. It literally sent goose bumps throughout my body. It created a feeling within the heart, body and soul that cannot be explained with words.

You really captured thier passion for what they are doing. Though they spoke of what they do in a calm manner you could still hear just how passionate they truly are. Thier love for it.

The fading light in the end was just perfect. Again, beyond words.

    Beautiful.

  • My wife will be happy to hear you like the music. She picked it out. The end shot was really tough to edit. It is a time lapse as the sun sets.

  • I really like this. I would like to learn more. and I must say that end shot with the fading light is really cool.

  • Very nice video and it looks like a very special place!

  • It is wonderful. I can't get enough of it.

  • Big cats are so inspiring! One day we will be like them!

    :)

    Shiva & Jaya

  • Yes, I think every cat's dream is to be a tiger.

  • This is beautiful. A world of fables that has come alive... the talking tiger, smiling rhino, silly bear, joking hyena, dumbfounded giraffe, laughing ostriches, and the people fully understand. My hats off to you both, Doug and Kim. There would be so many students interested in becoming apart of a family like this :)

  • Thank you... It sounds we've captured what is special about this place. More to come.

  • Wow I want to go there too! This is a great documentary style peice of art. This was put together very well great job!!!

  • Thank you for the great feedback. Let me know if you have questions for anyone that we can ask them during our next visit.

  • This is fantastic!! You all do such amazing work there...What an incredible experience!

  • Thank you! It is a wonderful project. Stay tuned for more and let us know if you have any questions for anyone at Out of Africa.
