The difference between ccr's version and the late great Marvin Gaye is not much. The best part of Grape Vine is the down beat, which both songs have. I like Gaye's version better cause of his voice he could hit those high notes so..so smooth .

All these guys were born in 1940s and are from San Francisco Bay Area. Tom Fogerty and John Fogerty are brothers. CCR got inducted into Hall of Fame in 1993. I remember dancing to this music at a bar in Islamorada, FL in 1974. Love your music, CCR!!!
