my guess would have to be that they cancelled it because nickelode-of-crap is racist, (seriously, how many other shows on nick are based off of a different culture?) or because el tigre gave some serious competition to spongebob, and spongebob is nickelodeons mickey mouse. despite el tigre's ratings, it was seen as a threat to spongebob by nickelodeon, so they got rid of el tigre. thank god for nicktoons network, the channel for great cancelled shows.
